I was doing an Orion Escort mission from Latos to Ukari, and on the last leg I shot an unaligned corvus maud that was attacking my voy and got "Aelous Standing Decreased Enormously!" Sure enough, the Admired standing I had worked so hard to get had dropped to low Neutral... I am not happy.

Where did this happen? I kill unrats on a regular basis in Verasi c-4 with no problem with Valent.

I checked the logs, and it looks like it decreased enormously first, and then increased enormously after I left and returned to the sector (TKoS?) however, the enormous decrease looks to have been approximately 700 standing points bigger than the increase was, since I'm pretty certian I was admired before that happened.

Hmm. Not sure what happened here. I'll take a look at our logs. Do you know approximately (or better yet, exactly) what time this happened so I can narrow down my search?

The only times your faction changed were increases.
At about 10:09 pm on Friday your Aeolus faction went up +16 from 34308 to 34324. (on a scale of 0 to 65535).
There is nothing in the logs from last wed (the 21st) on to yesterday.

Unless you were using a different character, I can't find anything where you lost faction within the past week.

does it show any drop at all? because I KNOW I was at least tKOS and had an SF after me, and I didn't dream the "standing decreased enormously" message I got when I killed it.

EDIT: 99% sure I was on this character.

I'll keep looking at more logs.

At 10:09:03 pm you got KOS set with Aeolus.
At 10:09:37 pm your KOS got removed.
At 10:09:44 pm your Aeolus faction went from 34308 to 32324.

interesting... ok, maybe I'm thinking of another character or something with the Aelous Admired... I was sure I had it at one point though.

I have one last place to look. A backup of the database from Thursday will have the definitive answer, but it's hard to get the info from there without restoring the entire database. I should have the answer by the weekend.

Your time is better spent elsewhere I imagine. Don't worry about it. It's not like I use Aelous faction for anything.
