I can't seem to get points for winning duels... but if I ever lose a duel and log off and back on, my points have gone down. :(

The duel stats issue seems to pop up more often when one of the characters involved hadn't won or lost a duel before (therefore having no rating to start with).

Who were you dueling with in those cases, Cunjo?

eheh, a lot of different people who HAVE won/lost duels before, but probably not since the duel system was broken (since they still have 1000 duel points). I know I also dueled a couple people with under 1000 (Mike, for instance) and won, still with no gain.

All since the last time my duel rating has gone up, over a month ago (it hasn't gone up since)

There was however one time since then that I dueled and lost (against Serena). Nothing happened at first, but after logging off and back on, it had gone down from 2142 or something to 2078 (wtf?)

So Dueling is clearly b0rken, and it seems that I can't gain rating, only lose it... which sucks. Especially since I can't find anyone ingame to duel that has a higher rating than me.

Ok, oddness today...

Today I dueled Serena once and Ecka Estenk twice.

When I defeated Ecka the first time, I gained 33 duel points to rise to 2110. Then I fought Serena (who, incidentally had reset to 1000 duel points at some point). When I type /duel rating Serena, it says I win 7 or lose 93 points, but after I beat her nothing happened. Then I dueled Ecka again (who was at 1700 something) and won, but I didn't gain any points. Ecka, however, reported LOSING points after that duel, so why didn't I gain any? I'm still at 2110.

What's more, the ingame UI reports that I have 2110 points after 93 duels (that's total duels), while the duel stats page reports that I have 106 Victories, 13 defeats and 2 draws for a total of 111 duels (where did the other 18 duels come from/go?)

Why are duel wins (with the exception of the one duel with Ecka today) not counting for me? and can we have it fixed please?

They would have counted if you had warped and dueled somewhere else.

There is a duel-updating thread that gets hung trying to update your rating. It's annoying; I haven't figured it out yet.

However, fear not. Your duels are still recorded (as you can see from the duel page). I am going to rerun the duel stats once this is fixed, and your rating (and everyone else's) will update accordingly. No source data was lost as far as I know, so duel ratings will reconstruct correctly. That goes even for deleted characters by the way.

Ehh, well since I had to warp out and back in to repair and return to the fight, shouldn't they have counted then? It's not as if I stayed in the same sector without leaving for all three duels.

The thread was stuck *on that sector*. Not even a thread, really, more of an abandoned callback. Anyway the sector has to shut down before that goes away. If I knew what caused it in the first place it'd be fixed already.

Good news! I figured it out. We're doing a patch tonight; I'll regenerate the duel ranks once that's done.
