Ion Storm FPS
I get a significant drop in FPS on the order of 60% (from 30 FPS to 11 FPS) when flying in ion storms. At first I thought the disorientation was due mostly to the novelty of the fog, but then I got the FPS counter running, and there's definately a huge drop there. Is there any way to reduce the negative effects of storms on my FPS?
probably just your graphics settings cunjo, or is it your computer. without knowing anything about anything that may affect your particular case, no one can do much to help you. they could make the fog look stupid, but that'd suck. throw us a bone here.

Fog does a lot of alpha blending. I'll have to make it so you can disable the alpha fog stuff and just use the vertex fog.
I figured out the hit on my fps in storms is due to the antialiasing. If I kill it, it goes right back up to 30; the higher I set it the worst the fps drops. Like Cunjo, at worst I go down to 11-12fps average, lowest being 9 and highest 15.
