I've noticed recently that the game is intermittently freezing once in a while.

I'm running 32 bit linux (dapper) on a dual core AMD64 with two NVIDIA 6800's in SLI mode.

This issue is brand new since the last update, am I the only one experiencing this?

It seems to recover after a few seconds but this is lethal during combat.

Same here. I'm on a PMac Dual 2.0Ghz 10.4.8 OSX - Nvidia 6600LE 128Mb.

Freezies are long about 1/1.5 secs, every 10/15 secs. Impossible to play! At last, a nice kernel panic crash the system.

On my system console is present a looong list of "kernel[0]: Graphics chip error! Restarted." before the final kernel panic.

I tested the hardware, logic board, ram and vram with the AHT (Apple Hardware Test) and it's all ok.

Yep, I have had similar freezes when doing hive skirmish , and a couple of crashes with the scrolling octree warning list of doom.

One thing I've noticed is that if it occurs within the first say, minute or so of play I know I'm going to have a repeat performance of it. Most of the time though it does not happen at all, I logged in a few times today for example without a problem at all. Logged in just now to see it happen after just logging in so I figured I'd check back in with this thread.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. You guys are Mac users, but our common thread seems to be NVIDIA video cards.
