full throttle
I do not know if this is a bug in the program or only with my controls, but recently while mining, my ship will go instantly to full throttle. If I am pointed at the rock, I will of course crash into it and receive damage. Does this happen to anyone else? There have been no other instances of wierd controller behavior, just going from full stop to full throttle.
For my controls, I am using:
Saitek USB keyboard
Belkin Nostromo N52 USB keypad (programable)
Logitech MX700 wireless mouse
Logitech Freedom 2.4 Cordless Joystick

I think your joystick throttle may be set to max throttle and since it's an analog device (theroretically) it has a very slight jitter. Any vibration may move the joystick throttle control a small amount, causing that to set your ship's speed.
One option is to unbind accelerate (or throttle or whatever) from the joystick throttle control.
Of course, this is just a guess and it may not fit your circumstances.

Thank you. I changed the throttle to none in the joystick config and it seems to have solved the problem.
Just a slight comment on your setup...

Also, when falling asleep, do NOT drop your foot on the gas pedal.
I have a N50 and it totally rules. One of the few gaming devices that can actually give a gamer an ege in games. Is Saiteks software as good?
LE: I haven't used the Nostromo, so I can't compare to that, but the Saitek software is very effective and marvelously adequate for me anyway. I've learned however that while the software allows for great programming (including advanced commands and macros), the hat switches can't be relied upon for time-critical functions such as strafing and dodging (they're touchy, and could disengage for a moment without warning). As long as you're not planning to strafe with a hat switch though, it should work great.
I use the same joystick as u. Its happend when u mining, an dont use the joystig. Then the battery saver kickes in, and the joystick loses conetion to the sender.
U will have to live whit it, or press a button on the joystick before the battery saver kicks in.
Its no big deal
