Mission editor incompatible with Safari
Just thought I'd report that the mission editor is incompatible with the latest version of Safari. Some pull-down menus don't appear, some stages and events can not be deleted, and changes made can sometimes not be seen when the mission is opened again (I selected faction type itani in Safari, but no matter what, the req still displayed Xang Xi. However, when I opened the editor in Firefox, the change I' made in Safari was there, and the faction req showed itani).
Chances are, you devs are already aware of this. And it's absolutely no big deal. Hardly a deal at all. Downloading (or firing up, as most mac users already has it downloaded already) Firefox is easy enough, even if you prefer Safari, like me. But still thought it might be good to know, if this information had somehow snuck past the dev bug blockade.

It's not a bug:
Incarnate: ..."As a final note, the mission editor is currently only tested in Firefox. It may work in other browsers, your mileage may vary. We aren't going to spend a lot of time trying to make it compatible with everything else.. Firefox is available for all VO platforms."
However, it is good to know specifically what it won't work with.

Yah, that's why I posted. But yer right, that's why I called it incompatible. The dev bug blockade is just, well... imagery ;-)
But I must admit I completely forget about that note by Incarnate, even though I did read it. Feel a bit silly now. Time to expose my inner Ion to some cognitive punishment. Completely disregard this thread.

the real bug is that the program doesnt detect your browser and popup and say 'sorry, go get firefox'.
It also works neither in IE, Opera, NCSA Mosaic, nor lynx.
And the reasons it won't work in various browsers are variously asinine, although Opera correctly reports that I am illegally modifying read-only DOM objects. Doh. The rest of them, though, are just buggy.
