Joystick Troubles
I recently purchased a Saitek Cyborg 3d Gold joystick to use in Vendetta, since I was getting tired of running out of space on my mousepad. I was encouraged when I saw that Vendetta recognized the stick, but my excitement quickly disappeared when I realized that it only recognized 4 of the stick's functions: X, Y, Z rotation and the throttle. I was further discouraged when, after calibration, the stick had a heavy bias to the left that repeated calibration wouldn't fix. I later discovered that the throttle function didn't work in the game. Is this something I can fix, or will I have to shelf my newly bought Joystick until the game is updated?
Quick update: I figured out how to get the buttons working, so that I can use the trigger to fire. For some reason, the hat switch doesn't work for strafing, because it always gets stuck on "down". The stick is still lopsided though, which makes it very difficult to use. I also tested it in X-Plane: Space Combat and it worked perfectly.
Yep, I quit using my Cyborg for the same reason. Same left bias. I'm on OS X.
We may be getting a saitek joystick and if so, then I can look into this problem.
Thank you ray. Good luck fixing it.
We've been talking to Saitek for.. a really long time, about sending us samples. After talking to them at E3, it looks like they're finally going to do so. As soon as we get samples, we'll fix the problem.
