Bugfix: Mission text doesn't update
Had this problem for a couple of days and didn't really think much of it. Essentially, my PDA was giving me mission text for a BP mission I haven't flown in about a week instead of information about the current mission.
Gooball helped me out, and I'm posting the information here for general help because at least one other person was having the same problem.
Mac users: Log out and shut down the Vendetta client. Right click or cntl-click on the vendetta package and select "show package contents," which fortunately does not show you MY package. In this window should be a file labelled [chractername]missions.txt. Delete this file. It will rebuild itself when you take another mission.
PC users: Log out and shut down the Vendetta client. Reboot your computer twice. Make sure to run each of the 53 spyware removal tools you have. Update your virusscanner(s). Reboot a third time when you see the blue screen of death. Wait for slow startup due to active system virus scan checking out your 120G hard drive sector by sector.
THEN find the Vendetta folder and open it. Look for a file labelled [charactername]missions.txt. Delete this file. Reboot three more times and update your virus scanner(s) to catch any new viruses that have come out while you were rebooting.
Heh heh heh... Mac users are almost as obnoxious as non-smokers and vegetarians., but I can't resist poking fun at my friends with PCs. The important thing is to find and terminate with extreme prejudice the file [charactername]missions.txt and then re-run the client.
I'm sorry, but those are the only two OS's I'm familiar with. Anyone running Linux is probably much smarter than I am anyway, so you can figure out how to fix this on your own.

OK, on Linux:
- go into your home dir and find .vendetta directory (make sure you can see hidden files)
- find a file called [character name]missions.txt (if your name is "Big guy" the file would be "Big guymissions.txt") and delete it.
Happened to me when I was playing on two different PCs I got at home. BTW: Keeping missions' descriptions locally does not seem a good idea to me. Or at least the game should check if they are in sync.

Yup, I was right. Linux guys ARE smarter than me.
Thanks Joe.
