Pretty far down on the list of bugs, I'm sure, but the hail doesn't change from alt to alt. Shouldn't it be reset when you log in as a second character?

Before someone chimes in and mentions the numerous multiple-hail alias hacks floating around, I, too, consider this a bug (even though I use the above hacks to work around it).

Yeah, I mean, being able to make our own aliases n stuff is ok, n that, but i'd prefer the game to make hails per char, i mean, it just makes more sense!

A work around till its maybe fixed is to use one of the many hail binds available, i use the simple-but-easy-to-mixup different hails on different keys ie : /alias hail2 "msg %target% 'Ello, im gunna shoot at you now!" ; bind H hail2 ect ect ect

You're right, and that is a successful workaround except, well, and I'm blushing to admit this, but I don't know how to use these binds I keep hearing everyone talk about.

Sometime over the next two days my joystick should get here, and then I plan to experiment with binds, but for right now, I'm clueless.

Hailing people is one of the easy ways to find out their alts. Often they'll just HAIL back and... OH CRAP!

OK, i'll add a hail for each character. How should it be set in the options? Currently, you can set your hail before you even log in, and that's the reason there's only 1 hail.
What I could do is to disable the control unless you're logged in and have a character selected. So, when it's disabled, it'll say something like 'You have to log in to set your hail.'

That seems to be the easiest, Ray. Force the users to log in before they can change their hails.

You know, I'm continually amazed at how swiftly you guys can get stuff into operation. Either you're whizbang programmers, or this engine really takes adjustment well. (Do my brownie points go up if I call for option one?)

Oh, and thanks for the fireworks. That was a whole lot cooler than listening to the asshats outside my apartment trying to set fire to my Jeep at 0245 this morning. Times like that remind me why I need a gun.
