mass gankage in grey..

...I'm not sure what just changed in the last few days, but there were never this many NPC pirates in Bractus, Odia, or Sedina, and they were NEVER able to take a valk from 100% to 0% in the span of the wormhole animation... I'm trying to build a cache of Rune's for PvP, but often as I don't make it

**edit: nice idea, spuck.. I'll try that :D

How many bots? (ok may be hard to tell if you blew up before the animation ended)

If you want to play safe just follow convoys through jumps. That works pretty well for me.

I've seen 15 pirate bots at the sedina gate in odia a few days back. That was fun..i died :D

15 is the max, or so I've heard. Any higher would be considered "bugged"

Actually 10 is the max. It is possible for there to be a few beyond that for a brief period, or longer if the ones who should be leaving have a high priority target in the sector for a while. Anything beyond that is a bug, and I'll appreciate the report- particularly if it's immediate (try calling my name in channel 100- I'm often monitoring on IRC).

We're also planning on taking other steps to make wormhole camping less annoying (as in deneb as well as corvus space). It's a fine line; obviously wormholes are strategic points of interest, and we'd like to have some fighting for territory going on in "dangerous" space, but we also don't want you to be destroyed before your jump sequence is over.

Personally, I think it should be kept as is, (I know about people's troubles with BS and stuff) but WH camping is a strategic thing to do, and if you have enough firepower to eliminate someone as they come in, bully for you. Once we have a better, less linear map system, people will stop whining, send an interceptor or two AROUND to tie up the campers, and then send the main force through. IMHO, anything that adds strategic vantage points, or anything to actually CONTROL is a good thing.

Yeah, I've had a problem with this too. I've started activating a basic dodge bind (and sometimes /roll-ing) right before I enter some of those WHs, just to be safe.

WH camping is fine! As long as we don't take damage on warp-in. At least let us get toasted while we can actually fly our ship >_>

Warp-in vulnerability was removed for a good reason. However, now that there's that 1 minute timer before you can re-use a wormhole, perhaps invulnerability should be re-added on inter-system warps. However, in-system jumps should still (IMHO) be vulnerable. And should get a new effect, but that's another thread. :D
