It happens with the ragnarok, the hornet, and IIRC the valk too. Other ships I've flown since the new client haven't, but it stands to reason that some with the same or similar port configurations to those three (ala Maud & Wraith) would do it too. The bug is dependable - it happens every time. Typically, when you first load the page, the ports start out in the right spot then very quickly gravitate to their off-center positions and wobble around a bit before sticking that way, though on a few occasions I think it's loaded off-center instantaneously.

Yeah, the icons try not to overlap so they move around until they don't. The only remedy is to go in and manually define the positions of every port of every ship and that's not something we're going to spend time doing right now.

It currently grabs the info directly from the 3d port position and projects them into screen space.

but... they don't overlap... so why is it trying?

heh they aren't when it's done!
but, really, there's a little buffer around each icon that is probably causing the problem, but that buffer is needed for other ships.
That whole 'non-overlapping icons' thing is annoying to deal with and what I came up with is the best thing I could think of.
