Spinning bug
Sorry about the title, I find it hard to summarize it. It happened to me a few times and last yesterday in nation war. All of a sudden I lose control of the ship and the screen is like my ship was spinning around, with sudden skips every few seconds. Fire and move commands do nothing (at least on my end). The chat remains functional. The screen keeps spinning even after I get killed; no return to home station. There is nothing I can do but log off. I do not know how the ship behaves in reality. All in all rather annoying.
..do you fly using a joystick?? just a thought, but I know Mintebi sometimes has calibration issues that lead to something similar..
Yes. I fail to see how it could explain everything but who knows.

Oddly enough that has happened to me a couple of times after a roid warp, though not recently. The ship spins logitudinally at a very high rate. No control is available, but it seems to stop after a few seconds then everything is back to normal. If it happens again I'll record the log.
Interestingly for comparison;

It's lag or packet loss, nothing more. Any kind of real-time game can be subject to occasional problems like that. Your client and the server get out of sync about where your ship is, and the server prevents you from making control input until it thinks everything is correct. The quickest fix is to log out and back in, though you will probably lose your ship if there are hostile players or NPCs nearby.
Agreed , Its a rare bug , so lets worry about it in the future after more significant stuff is addressed

you sure, Verde?? granted, I use neither a joystick nor a Mac, but this looks like a driver or calibration issue to me... I came across Mintebi once spinning away, and we could still chat just fine... even docking and undocking didn't clear it up...
If it were a calibration problem, unplugging the joystick or switching to mouse or keyboard control would at least let him counteract the spin, and firing should still have worked.
