before when I tried to update to 5.7.1 it acted like it had installed and when I logged in it would give an error and shut down. Run the updater again and lookee here it tries to update to 5.7.1 again rinse repeat. Now when i start the updater it shuts down w/o trying. Am I the only one?
So far, you are the only one.
A few details would be helpful:
Specifically what error was given?
What OS are you using?
What video card are you using?
How do you connect to the internet?

You wouldnt happen to be out of disk space would ya?
That sounds nasty, and i'd prolly suggest two things to try if your not.
1) Browse to the Vendetta folder (usually C:/Program Files/Vendetta Online) and delete the file media.rlb, then run the updater. (this will download the whole thing again)
2) Re-install vendetta.
Both these options are gunna be time consuming on a dialup connection though. But unless someone else has a better idea, I reckon you are stuck with one of the above >.>

Came to the same conclusion myslef, we'll see.
Yeah, it looks like the update fails every time for some reason.
Either you ran out of harddrive space or you don't have the proper file permissions.
I'll see what I can do about updating the updater so it reports more errors.
