Bounty System Down

Apr 09, 2006 firsm link
Hello,

Well, I've been trying to get a bounty on my head for a long time - along with others. I just think the bounty system is down, I've killed a lot of UIT Strike Force Vults, but I never got any bounty. Plus a Player put a bounty on my head, but the mission computer has never told me anything about it. If you check the News in Station, you'll realize there haven't been any bounty claims in ages.

So I hope somebody can check the bounty system and confirm this.

Regards,
firsm

Players can only place private bounties in with other players who collect on contract; it's not part of the bounty system.

Also, while I'm not certian, I don't think killing SF will get you a bounty. Killing admired/PoS players (enough times) will, as will killing a lot of marshalls, but I really don't know of any other ways of doing it.

Hmm, well, killing SF did give bounty, but just check the news ingame, haven't seen any new bounty claims for ages.

Killing trade NPC's has not counted for a while now, which is weird really, cos they can be more difficult to blast than a strikeforce used to be, and killing strikeforces DOES count towards a bounty. But indeed, the bounty system IS down. PK's in monitored space aint counting, nor is killing strikeforces (which is a hell of a lot harder these days)...

aye i agree with Yoda, NPC traders should genrate a bounty, and i have also followed humans traders in to monitored space alot lately and boomed them, no bounty is generated on my head.

no bounty is being paid, either. i didn't get it, and the other player checked when he respawned in-station, and still had his bounty.

If NPCs generate bounties (which I think is a good idea - as long as people are actually losing faction when they kill npcs), bounty amount should be reduced considerably.

The bounty system has been temporarily disabled, until I reappraise how it works.
