Client crash when warping
The beta client crashed while I was jumping to another sector (or to another system - I'll have to double check which.) After rebooting my system, I was not able to reconnect to the game with the beta client. In order to resume play, I had to connect with the regular client first and land at a station. At that point I was able to log out, relaunch the beta client and successfully reconnect.
To clarify: the beta client does not ALWAYS crash when jumping sectors. I was doing quick jumps between Azek M4 and N2 for several hours without incident. The only NPCs in system were either collector bots or station guards. There were no other active players in my sectors while I was playing. The beta client seemed to handle this without problems.
The problems happened when I was escorting a convoy - so there were an extra half dozen other ships also jumping out with me. I had been playing for about an hour before that happened without incident. Again, there were no other live players in my sector (that I was aware of).
I am running on Windows XP with an ATI Radeon 7700. The processor is kinda slow, so I may be experiencing some unusual race conditions, but the game otherwise plays fine. (acceptable frame rates, etc.)
Not much in the way of details, I know. At the time I was playing more than testing, so I wasn't really paying attention to preconditions, etc.
