For the past 2 days i have been trying to get my score up and trying out ship combos by botting. I ran into one problom, i can't find any. There on the active character list in the sector but none show up on my radar and whats more there just not there. On the rare accation i find one maybe one per sector if lucky they dpn't respond to me, i shot and hit them they keep flying around in there what apperes to be reset path. It is getting me annoyed. last night sectors 11,12,13,and 10 were void of any NPC while 14 only had one which after distoryed didn't respon. I have no idea whats going on or how to reproduce the hopfully bug. any ideas?

Hmm. There should definitely be bots in 12 around the asteroids. 13, they're at the very ends of the asteroid belt. Or should be.

According to the logs though people were getting killed by bots in 12, 13, and 14 within the last hour. Nobody's been killed by a bot in 11 since 11am CST this morning.

For the most part, bots don't actively look for you in the current build; you have to find them. They will be vastly less dumb in upcoming releases, with vastly more interesting behavior.

In 13, they used to cluster around the wormhole to 5 and pirate people. When you killed one of them, it would respawn and rejoin the others. Then I nuked them all at once and they have been at the end of the roid field ever since. :)

i always get jumped by bots that were dragged to a wormhole in s8... grrrrr.
