For some reason, the skybox in Metan G-14 on the test server (at least) looks a bit hmm strange.

Is this a client or server problem?

R Neither...it is a graphic card problem. If you change either your screen size or
E resolution in VO, it disappears.

R This happened with the Mac video cards and the workaround was to make an alias
A that changed either element mentioned above and then change it back.

It's caused by your IceWM menubar covering up the Vendetta window. When it renders the background, it actually renders to a background buffer but the nvidia driver, for some reason, clips out parts of the real window that are covered when we copy that to a texture. It's weird. Only happens on the Linux client.

/me retracts his answer in deference to Andy's. Very interesting... I didn't notice the menu bar as being involved but now that you mention it, the elements are in the artifacts.
