I usually ping at ~80

in the last few days I've been getting 350+ pings, making it impossible to actually play the game. Its intermittent, happening largely at night. (9-12 GMT) I'm (-8 GMT).

is this Cogentco again? and if it is, is there any way to deal with it?

Since your first hop is well over 80ms, then I don't think it's cogent... Are you sure your upstream bandwidth isn't full (bittorrent or other P2P things, perhaps)?
