dude! very annoying exploit!

if you get to 180m or higher, you out run rocket prox. it really sucks! dude, a fast ship like a rev-c or hog, or vult can reach it, and take 25% damage from it, or less, or more

This has happened as long as I've played. Basically, the rocket decides whether to explode not based on actual proximity, but based on whether it will be in range in the next x seconds. At some point, ships are too fast for this "future calculation" to work, and the rocket explodes on the other side of the ship, doing less damage. Or, at least, that was my understanding.

Same thing happenes if you boost rockets too fast at a target and do not score a direct hit.

ive ha d a few times when a light ship charged me and my rockets passed the ship before exploding, dealing damage only to myself... or times when they wouldn't detonate at all..

This isn't a bug! I love the fact that a rocket can strike a "glancing blow" if you are moving away from it or a "critical hit" if you eat one head on.

Hi,

in the World War it was one of fights again magnetics sea mines.

Magnetic mines detected the ships too fast so there was a built-in timer of 10-20 seconds. The timer was perfect against cargo ships. Soon the other side found out that with fast picket-boats they could clear the field. The mines exploded far behind the boat.

And the morale: you should use another weapon against fast ships :)

Actually I think its a combination of the 2 ships speeds that reach over 240.
So just back up and then fire.
This was explained to me before and lets see if I remember.
It's the time that it takes for the server to calculate where you are in relation to the prox and you just move outside of the prox to friggin fast.

So just back up.
