Inside ships bug
When you undock and someone's parked where you undock or when you ram someone, your ship goes inside the other ship. Your framerate hits 0 and you crash. IT's very, very annoying. please fix it.
Whew boy! This happened to me tonight at Station 10. I went to leave in my 12-cargo slotter (no throttle on) and Kamikazee SUPERBUS was sitting in the dock hole. I saw his outer-rear 4 corners for about 0.5 secs then jitter-jitter-wobble-wobble - EXPLODE... Nomadic1 is having issues.
LMAO @ Turmoyl
Yep, same here. I think 3.1.x was fine with the whole overlapping thing. Dunno what happened with 3.2.

Didn't they just kick the player out of the way if they were blocking the path? Rather than going through? That worked well.
Maybe if another player is within docking range of the station, and you want to leave the station, that other player will be kicked back into the station (a "forced dock") while you're ship will be free to leave. It might cut back on the exploiting too.
You can't "kick the player out of the way if they were blocking the path" at Station 10. If you've ever been there you know what I mean. Can't fit a gnat's a$$ in sideways when a ship is already there.
I personally would like to see Stat 10's entrance widened a bit, ive lost 3 centaurs 1 valk and 1 centurion trying to get in.

You need some piloting skills then. I got my Centaur in with Verdandi and another pilot in that tiny space. It's not that hard, just go slowly.
Yeah, you gotta have good piloting skills. But I also noticed the random bump damage bug is still there. Tapping an asteroid at the VERY SLIGHTEST BIT will destroy your ship at 100% hull. I was hoping it would've been fixed by now... but nope.
/me sighs.

I know about the collision problem. It will eventually be fixed.
How about this, the ship starts in the dock and glides out?
Some of the stations do actually start you off with a little speed as you undock. At least for me it does. Other stations just make you come out stationary. It might actually be a good idea to have the player's ship boost out uncontrollably for a certain time while undocking (much like wormholes do). It can help prevent station exploiting. But then again there's the problem of station campers, and not being to detect them while you're in the station.
Actually, all stations launch you at 20m/s. Trouble is, if you're using the "arcade" flight model your throttle is probably sitting at 0, so you immediately stop in front of the bay.
perhaps a really big kick as you launch? Another thing I would like with stations is being able to choose the dock you launch from, or at least have it randomized, so it's not as predictable where you're leaving from. Also nice would be additional docking ports on the 'roid stations.
I don't know about other people, or even if this is supposed to be part of the game, but I've never had the trouble docking that some are describing, even with many pirates about. Just go full speed at the station and madly bang the activate key. :D Stupid pirates can't touch me. Leaving can be a problem, though.

I envision later on there will be requirements for docking:
Maximum speed.
Powered down weapons.
In the station, there may be a 3D map of the station that shows activity around it out to a couple hundred meters. <- That'll allow you to watch for campers.

If that happens, I would hope that there would be other measures to be put into the game, to help traders. The most entertaining experience for a trader, I think, would be one where there is danger, needing to run blockades or pirates, but also at least some provisions to assist them. Kind of a smuggler, I guess.
