Fix the CTC bots get stuck due to player AFK bug.

Ok, i know bots will linger if a ctc transport is killed, but if the sector goes empty for 15 mins max, the sector shuts down, and the bots are deleted, and alls well again, thats not the issue, the issue is the Ctc guard bots only seem to warp from a player populated sector if someone warps with them (a player), if someone decides to *space* and go afk along the ctc route, the bots stop following the convoy.

Thats good to know, but what will we do in the meantime?
Atm there are around 50-60 ctc defbots mingling in sedina B8 and Bractus E2 making those sectors unplayable for us.

You could mount an organized attack. (mount -t organized /dev/attack /mnt/sedinab8)

The devs could bring in all three Capitol ships for backup. Everyone would work together to rid the sector of the evil defbots.

Then when the bots are gone, start killing each other senselessly. :)

Yes, I considered doing this, but there were more bots than I'd like to see before bringing in the caps. If it happens again I hope to be able to have the time to thin the herd a little and then bring the caps in.

Don't you lose enormous standing for killing those bots?

Like 10 or somethin.

yeah kix, and you dont even get xp for killing the little beggers, so any UiT or admired Serco/Itani should think twice before helping clean up the mess :P

You only lose standing in monitored space (in my experience). As Sedina B-8 & Bractus E-2 are unmonitored, I've never taken a faction penalty for killing the bots there.

Actually, ignore me. It's quite likely that the reason I don't lose faction is that all my characters that kill transports have no more faction to lose, as they are already at -1000.

I like the stopgap that was finally put into effect.

I frequently clean up bots in Sedina L2. But that always gives me a serco bounty eventually. I don't mind because I'm helping my Itani brothers to dock at L2. I also kill bots in sedina B8 if i see them.I hope some is done about this soon and not soon(tm) it really gets annoying at times.
Also will the changes also dis allow bots from shooting you in the no fire zone? I would like to defend myself at L2 without being killed.
