newbie bug question
What is the difference between posting a bug here, and posting one via the "submit bug report" link? I have a bug, which I submitted a bug report for, how do I get feedback?
I personally prefer to post any bugs I find here, where it's publicly available so other players know it's been reported, and can add any additional details they discover.
The exception to this is when the bug is exploitable, to gain an unfair advantage. That type of bug it's better to not go blabbing about in the public forums, so I would use the "Submit bug report" link for that, so the devs will know about it & fix it, but other players won't find out about it & start exploiting it.

You might consider posting here, particularly if you are new to the game, so that experienced players can help you if you are able.
The bug reporter sends the bug reports directly into a database.

I tend to use the bug reporter for small things, stuff that I don't feel is necessarily worth having other people comment about. Such as typos, small graphics errors, or inconsistancies. For instance, in the weapons group screen, there's an extra space somewhere (I forget where now, but I described it in the bug report) for Weapon Group 1, that's not on any of the other groups. That's obviously not anything worth discussing.
But if it's something that I think all the other players should know about, then I will post it on the forum. For instance, if a sector's down, where that sector is, and whether I've told a guide or not.

The ai for the apu-5's is broken. If they chase you for more than maybe ten thousand meters, they will turn around and to back to the center of the zone. After they turn around, you can blast them and they don't notice, so basically they are a free kill.
How's that for exploitable?

That's a lot of work for an exploit, but ya.
so is it going to be fixed? Acutally, if you think about it, a level 0 newbie could get tons of xp for that.
