Weapons not causing dmg
Hope this has not been posted before, I did look around and did not see on one this topic.
I have seen this happen with my a couple of times. Does not seem to mater what ship I have, but I go to fight bots and all of the energy weapons I fire just bounce off the bot. Yes I am scoring the hit, but there is not dmg. I have notice that this never seems to happen with any missiles I might use.
I have taken say 15 shots at a bot, hitting it almost every time and not dmg. Then, every shot hits and causes dmg.
I have check my ping 58, so that is not to high.
Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this kind of thing and if there is something I need to do to fix it. Makes botting very hard to do.
I mean, 10 shots from a DevII on a DenTek and the thing is still at 100%. Grrrrr. Oh, also the bots have not trouble hitting and dmging me.

Perhaps you're having some other form of network issues other than high ping...
Yea that is what I thought also, but here is some other information in that regards.
Last night I noticed that when the bot were firing at me, that the beams/guns graphic was not actually coming from the bot. It seemed to be a bit above and behind the bot.
I continue to fire with the before mentioned affect. Then, bam, it seemed to sync. Shots from the bots were coming from the bots and I started to hit them.
I guess it could still be network issues, but I have not problems navigating around, mining roids, picking up cargo, etc. It is just the bot issue.

I had a fight the other night with someone where neither of us were lagging, but we werent damaging each other either, was quite odd
Yea, i was in a fight yesterday or 2 days ago, where I was hitting the other pilot with dual neut2's a lot of times, say 7-8 hits, only dealing about 15-20% damage, he hits me twice times and baam, I'm down till 5% or so. I was in a rev c, he was in a vulture variant. Verry strange.
what sectors were you all in? we record failed attempts at damaging other players and want to see what's going on.
In the few fights I have in Sedina B8, I usually have at least one or two hits unrecorded (both for and against me). In the same sector, two days ago, Ghost and I had to cancel a duel as I was constantly hit (at least 5 to 6 times) without taking any damage.
Now one or two shots unrecorded happen fairly often in empty sectors too (mainly Edras).
My usual ping is around 175, if that can help.

Not sure of the exact sector but this has happended to me in the Azek area, which is were I was the other day.
I will keep my eyes open for this again and make sure I track the exact setors I am in.
On of my other guild mates was having the same issue and I know he was up in Divinia.

Ok this just happened to me again.
I was in Azek G-13.
Firing weapons and they just bounch off the bot, yet the bot seems to be able to hit me. I am strafing the bot and notice that the fire is comming from just above the bot. Then there seems to be a screen jolt and stuff it syncd. I am able to damage the bots.
There is another issue this time, which I do not remember from before; but the sound is breaking up. It is all 'crackelly?' and that seems to be affecting the game. In that it is freezing each time a 'crackel' happens.
I have rebooted my machine and notice that the 'crackely' sound is only from VO game. Normal CD's and sounds from other games is not affected.

This happened to me about 1 0r 2 days ago. I landed about 5+ shots with duel neut fire and nothin. But when flares were used against me they worked :(

The screen jolt leads me to believe that your connection is dropping packets ("lag"). I have good ping but notice similar symptoms. I've just learned to live with it and treat it as part of the game. I know it's not fun and shouldn't really be part of the game, but there's no simple solution (unless I drag fiber directly to Wisconsin).
The reason why you don't notice problems while mining, etc. is because the other objects aren't moving (or more correctly, changing their movement), so the client can correctly predict where things should be when you drop packets.

Yeah, its unlikely to be us. My ping is normally in the 19 to 25 range, and it happens to me semi-often also.
Thanks for the other input on this guys. Nice to know they have just not put a special filter in there for me (hahahah).

I did actually reboot my machine again, which cleared up the sound 'clicking' and then did not notice any more bot issues. I went on to killing a bunch of them.

Eeeuh, if the server was lagging in the net sense, your ping would still suck.
Now, the server not keeping up computationally, that's a different issue. Although I really doubt such a case. A weaker machine kept up just fine with the pre-release universe.
