um... i apologize. i should have stated more clearly that i was referring to the song in "Red Hot Rding Hood", sung by Red (can't find her seiyuu)
Sorry Tosh, I'm not hearing it. "Big Bad John" is closer musically and stylisticly than either version of "Daddy". (Took me a while to find this sucker.)
"Red Hot Riding Hood" version of "Daddy":

Toshiro: "(can't find her *seiyuu*)"
Can't find her what?

hmm. looking very closely at the two songs, "big bad john" is closer to "cows with guns", no doubt. but "the ballad of john clampett"/"daddy" is really the song (partially) sung in red hot riding hood, lyrics and tune prove it imo.
I'm confused as to what you are saying Tosh re: "Daddy". I was never disputing the music used in "Red Hot Riding Hood". I was mistaken at first regarding the tune used by "Daddy". I had never heard it before and when I read the lyrics, the tune "The Ballad of Jed Clampett" just popped into my head. Too many years of watching reruns as a kid. They look very similar lyrically at first glance.
Thank god this is already in the Off Topic board.
At least I got it (sort of) back on topic. (^.^)
