Don't forget Rendevous and iSync! I laugh when something is advertised as being plug-and-play on the PC. It seems to be an ongoing joke of some sort. Nobody knows the true meaning of plug-and-play until they've tried OS X.

Yeah, that's why your mouse works so well, huh?
Numbnuts, the mouse problem is not OS specific. Get this through your thick skull. Yeesh.
Actually, windows plug and play is getting pretty good. I haven't installed drivers for anything in quite a while. But most of what I use is simple stuff, like digital cameras (and other USB Mass Storage Devices), mice and old printers.

Arolte>"Numbnuts, the mouse problem is not OS specific. Get this through your thick skull. Yeesh."
Knock it off you two...I'm really getting sick of this crap stopping threads in their tracks.

I've tried talking it over through IRC, I've tried getting in contact with the forum moderator, I've tried avoiding posting anything that might set him off, and I've tried just about everything to get him to stop with the flamebait posts. I'm outta ideas.
If you look through all the threads (please take the time to do this) which have included this sort of bickering, you'll find that 99.9% of the time he instigates this sort of behavior with whatever cynical comment he can come up with.
The guy has a personal grudge against me. I really don't care much about it, but it's really getting old because I don't want the forum to become like this. I haven't even been on Vendetta for two weeks now and he's still giving me shit.
So you know what? I'm tired of it. So as you've noticed by now I'm giving him the karma treatment. He acts like an ass and he gets treated as such, since nobody seems to care to do anything about it.
What would really help is if the forum included an ignore option, like in the game. It's a shame it doesn't. It's really hard to avoid a people like these without it. When you don't say anything and the person continues to troll on, nobody does anything about it. When you decide to post a response in defense, both parties are automatically guilty. Talk about warped justice.

Well, not that this really belongs here, but I've got plenty of problems with Arolte too. Dispite his claim to innocence, he's just as guilty as I am for causing problems here as well as ingame. Ingame, he passes it off as "roleplaying". Here, it's blamed on me. My post was meant to try to make you understand that if your OS is so great, why are you having problems all the time? I mean, sure it's understandable that the devs don't quite spend as much time bughunting for the Mac version, but still, a lot of your problems seem to be specific to you, and only you. Touting your OS as some kind of miracle-worker, and then complaining about it all the time is just annoying. With that, I'll leave the Mac forum in peace. Thanks.

Leave your problems in game. Don't bring your attitude over to the forum or IRC. Your grudges are not welcomed here. We're supposed to have civilized discussions here, not pissing contests and bitchfests.
The only thing that bothers me is that the forums don't allow me to ignore you. The game does. I really could care less what you think about me. Just keep it to yourself. You'll be doing a lot of good for everyone.

If you'd read some of the threads more rather thinking of ways to flame people, you'd know that the problem was not OS specific. The whole argument could've been avoided altogether if you'd just think before posting once in a while.
And thanks, I appreciate that you leave the Mac forum in peace. This isn't an area to start flamewars or platform wars. It's supposed to discuss topics based on the OS X client of Vendetta. I'm glad we got that cleared up.
For everyone else, sorry for consuming this space for BS like this. If the forum had a PM option I would've used it a long time ago. I'd also like to offer a suggestion to the Forum Moderator--make a hotmail, yahoo, gmail, or whatever free e-mail account so players with problems can contact you. I know sometimes you're busy and all but at the very least there will be a place for players to submit problems without bringing this volley of bickering into the forums. Thanks.

/me points to Firefox, Thunderbird, and all the other wonderful FOSS programs for Windows
/me points to the "delete" key and most of the crap Windows installs
You were saying, Omega? Windows XP is actually quite usable if you make the effort to lock it down a bit, and not use most of the stuff Microsoft bundles with it. I think the only programs it came with that I use are Calculator and Notepad, and sometimes IE when I need to update...
