Well I'm leaving vendetta until the devs can fix this problem of overwhelming pirates. I am completely broke from a profit that took me weeks to build up, and I'm not about to go through it again so i can just be raped by pirates looking to corupt the game while at the same time having the excuse of playing the game to it's full potential. Considering the fact that this problem will probably not be fixed for months to come, that's probably how long i'll be gone. Until then, later.

crazydeb8r, excuse me but i don't devote my life to become better than pirates. I have a life outside of vendetta. When i play vendetta, i expect to enjoy it, not be hassled by pirates especially when i'm low on money.

Do what I do: trade in a valk. Yes, it has little cargo. But even the gold uber griefer is not going to get you. The valk is just to damn fast. If you need money for the ship, I am more than happy to buy you one.

Jm, you arent gonna get rid of all of the pirates because you dont have money. I was pirated by phoenix before and then he knocked me down to 1k and then i got mad and then i just asked others for money i waited till he got off. And plus what are the devs gonna do? They arent gonna waste their time looking out for you trying to get rid of pirates. They are busy updating vendetta. Pirates want to make others poor so all of the people cant buy anymore cargo. So youll just have to deal with it until people get enough money.

The thing is, most pirates are stupid.

Stupid Pirate:
Kill trader -> kill same trader -> kill same trader -> trader stops tradeing! (out of money) -> pirate runs out of source of income

Smart Pirate:
Kill trader -> kill different trader -> kill different trader -> take a nap -> rinse and repeat.

exactly SL, if they pirated me once in a while i'd be like "Oh damn, i just lost 30k but hey i have more money to back me up" But it got to the point to where i didn't have any cargo yet they still continued to kill me. Icarus that is. He really doesn't add anything to the game when he does that.

I am one of the smart pirates :D but what i am saying is the pirates are there to make you poor so then you cant get anything and they dont have to worry about you trading behind their backs. That is why they keep killing you.

I am deeply sorry to see a veteran pilot leave Vendetta but as others have said, pirating is part of the game and we are doing what we can to prevent pirating. The Serco Nation doesn't support nor endorse pirates or their ideals and will hopefully continue to stop them where we find them.

Pyroman, i'm not really "leaving" vendetta, i was temporarily not coming on but because of guild reasons i am now coming on with my DS10 char just to build up money so i can fight pirates. My Jm character however will not be in use for quite some while though. But anyways, don't worry, i could barely stand 2 days without vendetta, heh, i'm addicted *me shifts eyes unexpectedly*

indeed jm. sector0, pirates _need_ traders. else they can't pirate anyone and have to *gasp* trade, thus rendering themselves a scrumtpious target for *ooo* pirates.
i wonder when all the strange so-called pirates out there get around to the point where they see (yet again) that a community of the size that vendetta has can't uphold that many pirates (about 10, i'd say).
