I'm doubling down, but for those who didn't want to sit for the album, give just this (final) track a try:
Ott - Ship Is Not A Child https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUbK__7WOAM
It's great; it harks back to a time I remember, growing up sailing, where as an incoming gust tilted our boat on a close reach and I leaned out way over the edge as a teenager, foot hooked underneath a strap and holding on to the sheet for dear life, looking up at the water below I could see the centerboard cutting through the lake. Everything was trimmed to perfection, just as my dad taught me, and I realized we were balanced on a knife edge riding the wind, reading the water.
Later I would experience sailing on the ocean, out past the surf, to a place where the waves rolled in giant swells that seemed like they almost reached the top of our sail. This music is that to me.
Ott is unique among Psydub artists, a brand that tends to get lost in its own sophomorism. For some reason (maybe it's because he's a father, maybe it's because he understands his influences) he strikes the perfect balance between organic and processed, sacred and hilarious. If he were a visual artist I'd place him somewhere between Salvador Dali and Thomas Kinkade. His music is something Ravi Shankar might approve of, but he owes more to Hopeton Brown or Augustus Pablo. It's a love letter to technocratic Hindustani theosophy, 'but don't let that scare you' Ott gently reminds us with a 'row, row, row your boat' nudge and wink.
Out of the four albums he has composed so far, guardedly, "Fairchildren" is my favorite (where this track is from). It's the music of Neuromancer, or more aptly Count Zero, if there were such a thing.

Phaserlight has posted a lot of Ott in this thread, but he still has not posted the only dubstepish track by any artist that I'll listen to.
