How about them Gas Prices?

In Caracas, venezuela, they pay $0.14 per gallon (I shit you not...)

Jex, if it's American English, it's not proper English - 'Proper American English' is an oxymoron =P

The word is Litre (What the hell would Americans know? they're too dumb to even USE that unit of measurement... they still measure in impreial gallons, inches, feet, miles and degrees fahrenheit!)

Bah, let them use whatever they want. They already have one foot out the door anyway...

Actually, 'litre' is the British English spelling, while liter is the 'correct' American English spelling.

Hare splitting for the win!

Its actually the French way of spelling it (which the English appropriated).

Liter is just straight up, good old, US stubborness (as is referring to all y'all selves as "Americans"). So you won a war. So what? You gotta go and change the language?!! What I don't understand is how come the original Yanks didn't adopt Spanish. Woulda been a bigger f*@# you to the English, AND you would all have a much higher literacy rate!

Oh, and gas went up to $1.24 today!!

Considering toshiro, an american, can't even write "hairsplitting" correctly, I don't know why you even bother listening to him.

As for gas, I fill the tank on my 84 Sable for about $31.67, every weekend. I need a smaller car!

Toshiro's Swiss, if I remember right.

And the "hare splitting" might have been a reference to a short sequences of jokes a while back on the forums involving "hare", "hair", etc.

My 3L Dodge drinks between $50 and $60 per tank right now, and that's with the mercifully low(er) gas prices in my township.

Holy smokes Cunjo. I hope that is per month. Maybe it is time to consider a hybrid. I was spending about $160 a month for my F250. Now I am spending about $30. Although I miss my truck I missed the cash in my wallet even more.

ktchinn, and you'll miss your truck even more when some idiot in a hummer runs over your dinky little hybrid and kills ya.. oops.. no ya won't.. you'll be dead.

Yeah and I could be hit by a bus while I walk across the street tomorrow. I did not buy my truck for vehicluar combat, although in El Paso sometimes I wonder. It is not the Hummer's I am worried about but the cars with Mexican plates and no insurance. They do not seem to have the same car insurance requirements we do.

Plus, I have seen the Prius after a wreck with a jack knifed Semi. The Prius occupants walked away (although had to be cut from the vehicle) due to the new frame technology. The 2 sedans that also hit the semi only the back seat paseengers survived but had to be airlifted out.

Yea, those tiny cars have some good crash ratings. You'd be suprised...

ktchinn: It's got a 16-gallon tank, so depending on how much I drive it, I fill it up every 2 weeks to a month... which amounts to around 250-300 miles depensing on how hard I drive it.
