I'm still busy being amazed that there's someplace that still offers "full serve". I haven't seen that in years.

We have a full service station here and the gas prices are about 9 cents a gallon more. Enough to pay for the guy anf not enought to make me think "if it's really cold outside it's worth the extra 2 dollars to not have to stand out there and pump" thoses prices are like 40-50 cents more a gallon, I'm sure I would pump my own for that.

I think in Oregon, you're REQUIRED to offer full-service. But I can't confirm this.

Why do I need to "show him up", Smitty? My gas prices here are thankfully lower.

OH Wait I understand. You think this is a retouched image. I don;t think so. Looks like someone actually printed them out on a piece of paer and taped 'em on as a joke.

I'm amazed that full serve is so much more there. It's <10c a gallon more here. Also, I know a guy that works at a full serve gas station, and he earns a ridiculous amount of money even with the "full serve" tax only at 10 cents. I can only imagine how much he'd get paid if he were getting 50 cents a gallon...

Rogue: probably less, because NOBODY is going to pay for full service at that rate.

The high price of full service there might just be the manager's way of offering it without needing to hire someone to actually do it...

It is a good thing I got my Toyota Prius last year. Gotta remembr to send thank you car to car theft ring that stole my F250 (15 MPG).

I am averaging 56 MPG this year. That is with hand calculations, the car's calculations are a bit "optimistic." Now that we are off the winter fuel my current tank is at 66.3 MPG at 250 miles. OPEC can eat my shorts.

You think you have high gas prices? Pshaw.

No tosh, Europe has us beat... but then again, we still have Europe beat for fuel cost to the mile, since American cars are inherintly so inefficient still.

I think i could beat that pick. Last week in Brooklyn, Ny they spotted over $5.00 a gallon for regular.
I'm just happy i don't drive. the subway is the way to go.

USD 5 per gallon? That's... USD 1.32odd per liter (MKS FTW). Well, okay. Generally, prices here are lower than that by about 30 cents.

US$2.69 a gallon down here, and that's Plus (or Premium). Regular unleaded goes for US$2.52 a gallon. We have americans crossing the border just to fill up here. Thank God for Dubya and the Republicans.

You in Mexico Jex? Or do you mean the "other down here" which you have to "cross the boarder" to get to?
Jun 06, 2006 ktchinn link
Here in El Paso it is around $2.60 a gallon. No need to cross the border although every other car has Chihuahua plates. :p I wonder how expensive gas is in Mexico.

Yap, I'm in Mexico, Baja to be precise.

And, ktchinn, the only ones who don't know Texas is again part of Mexico are the Texans; poor deluded souls!

Actually, believe it or not, the Democrats made a deal with the NDP that if us lefties would convert as many of you Republicans to Communism, then they would give us the entire top row of the US: Hawaii, California, Carolina, Alaska, and a few others. I think that's right. Wait a sec, the US is next to Bolivia right? And your president's name is Chirac? Oh shit!!!!! I sound like an American!!! Guess you're right nycl-whatever.

Oh and gas up here is $1.21 a litre (yes, the r goes before the e). Just so you folks down there don't blow a blood vessel trying to believe that there really is another currency out there, that equates to $4.12 US a gallon.
