Maybe we should wait to demand a prom change until we see the new ships coming out so close to the E3. Suppose the devs drop the prom to 22000 because of your incessant bickering, only to see a new ship appear with similar hull and/or more weapons. The prom has just become a nice 3D model.

F- I think that other specials should get one large port... take away one small and give a large port... But the would not be able to hold nukes in the ship. I truely think that you should be able to upgrade your ships. (aka armor, speed, radar capabilities that increaese your weps auto targeting) and you can, for certian ships take away 1 (or 2) small ports to install a large. Depending on the ship you do it for you may or may not be able to buy nukes. Some upgrades would hurt other aspects of you ship but not much.

Actually, if I had to guess, I'd say those 'c' people are red. ;)

So most people (c's and d's) feel that the ship is balanced, though a small number (the d's) wish that the non-specials and the specials were more balanced with each other. However, a nearly as large number of people (a's and b's) feel the ship is too powerful, with a small number (the b's) feelings its way too powerful. Of course the alternative analysis is that the a's, b's, and d's agree on one thing - that the Promy is too powerful, and collectively they are a larger voice than the c's.

My guess at this point is that it is very nearly balanced now that the Avalon ram doesn't work as well. And, while it may be a hair too powerful, the best move would be wait while we balance some other things and then maybe if the opinions persist take the Prom down to 25000 and see how it works out. Is that a reasonable concensus?

I agree with Celebrim, however. The difference is so small a change is not justifiable. When was the last time people teamed up to take a prom down? *gasp* maybe the prom is a frigate and the devs are playing a cruel joke on us! :-p

First, about the mnormal ships: You get what you pay for. they have their uses. Second, most of the people who picked C only pilot proms. Now that he can, P uses them exclusivly just about. But if the proms were single nationed again, he would join red or say they're unfair...

Phoenix and oh, I'm NOT a red and I normally do NOT use a prom. :) So there goes THAT theory. LMAO

I am not red and never use proms. I just enjoy taking them down in my centurian. But if you're not as good at it, get a couple of ships together for some prom-killing........ I just don't understand what you people have against teamwork.
