"Some Serco are jerks"
Well, it looks like you belong to that elite group. One of the main reasons I hate the Serco so much is because you and another (cottontailed) toaster have gone after me-- with no provocation-- repeatedly.
I was flying an unarmed Cent MK I with no cargo from Dau to Odia, and BUN...er, the cottontail toaster started to chase me. I had to try three times before I actually made it. On the second attempt, as I recall, you joined in around Latos.
Are the Serco such poor pilots that it takes two heavily armed vessels to take down a single light fighter? Or did you join in because you wouldn't *dare* take on another player without backup?
"And this 'better than thou' attitude is held by both sides, don't pretend that you're not pulling the same kind of crap."
Ooh, looks like *somebody* needs to go back to kindergarten and learn to count. There are three sides. Count with me. Itani (one), Serco (two), UIT (three).
Good. Next time try without using your fingers, toaster-boy.

I really don't remember attacking anyone by the name of "Mobius Prime"... so...
Would you please remind me what ship I was flying? or do you go by another name as well?

I'm really happy that you have such a convincing argument that you need to nitpick about exactly how I say something instead of dealing with the actual meat of the matter.

Oh, good! Generalisations! Those are easiest to bash, yum.
First off: your post was out of character.
Seriously, Nik: If you hate an entire group of people because of the actions of a few, you're dreadfully wrong. They even acted *within* the game's mechanics (remember, open PvP?). And you can't tell me that getting shot down three times is a lot. Besides, who except a racing pilot, would fly an unarmed ship, ever? I can see that weight is a problem, but totally unarmed?
And one last thing:
There are ony 2 sides. The UIT do not participate in the conflict as a nation, but rather as a weapons dealer. The cannot be counted as a ‘side‘, rather as 'lifeblood'.

I sort of agree with you toshiro. there are only two offical side to this conflict. But the UIt do more then sell weapons. The officaly UIT party line might be neutrality, but most if not all the individual UIT have picked a side. Saying they aren't apart of this war is a grave mistake. Being almost equal in size to the combined Serco and Itani forces I will say that they are a significate, if not organzed, force in this war.
We haven't really heard any official comment from the major UIT guilds. I for one would be interested in knowing what your stance is.

Are THERE any major UIT guilds?
No, because we all know UiT dont really exist.

Of course they partake, actively, even. But they don't (and shouldn't) enter the conflict as an entire nation. There are two good reasons for this:
a) This conflict is already complicated enough without the meddling of salvagers.
b) A 'neutral' territory is necessary should the need for armistice talks ever arise.

Odd, you'd think that a person would remember chasing someone across three systems. Maybe your implants are on the fritz.
"Would you please remind me what ship I was flying? or do you go by another name as well?"
I don't remember what ship your were flying, but I saw you appear on my sector list every time I jumped into a new system.
"I'm really happy that you have such a convincing argument that you need to nitpick about exactly how I say something instead of dealing with the actual meat of the matter."
Thank you. Me too.

It's not just those people, those are just the main ones. Every Serco player I have ever encountered has been hostile and rude, even the traders I encountered when I was trying to raise my faction with them.
And yes, they were acting within the game's mechanics. So am I. I have a right to dislike the Serco, and I have a right to attack them on sight.
I was flying an unarmed ship to minimize my mass, becuase I knew I was going to have to pass through PvP and Hive territory, and I wanted to be as fast as possible.
"There are only 2 sides. The UIT do not participate in the conflict as a nation, but rather as a weapons dealer. The cannot be counted as a ‘side‘, rather as 'lifeblood'."
Well, you've got poison in your veins then, because the majority of UIT pilots that I've encountered seem to be distinctly anti-Serco. Perhaps, since, as Jes said, the UIT have almost as many people as the Serco and Itani combined, then maybe you Serco should be a *little* nicer to us. What you've done is akin to throwing a rock at the hornet's nest.

Anyway, some of the nicest people I knew in-game were on Serco... others were on Itani. And still others on UIT. A few jerks I knew were on Serco, which caused me to switch to hunting chars (blue), but that was way back when. Others were on Itani. And still others on UIT.
That didn't make me 'hate' entire groups of people.
As for the acting within game mechanics, that's fine. I didn't say you weren't. But I may voice my opinion just like you.
/OOC
Many of the UIT may despise us, hate us even. We are not intimidated by the yapping of spineless dogs who turn to the highest bidder. If you choose to fight us, fight us. If you choose to aid us, aid us. If you choose to stay neutral, fine, be that way. But don't try to impress us by the size of your nation, it will not work.

/me threatens toshiro in an obvious and unabashed fashion...
"Toshiro is Serco, right? Hrm. Never seen him ingame. I know he's been around a while, but, well, apparently he is content to sit DEEP in Serco space, hiding behind his multitiered defenses in cowering anonymity."
LeberMac is about to turn back to his tequila and notices Genshin is STILL staring at him. Sick of prolonging the conflict, he grabs the bottle of Corvus Bourbon from Genshin, and throws it in his face, and then spits on him.
"See, Jestatis, that's how you start some sh.." WHAP!
<LeberMac takes a pool cue to the back of the head from Genshin>
Barfight breaks out! Both sides clamor and join in the rumble! International incident ensues!

Nik, EVERYONE is rude and hostile to you because you have the most abrasive personality since pirogoeth.
You should meet up with him though. You two will like each other.

As it happens to be the case, I have been forbidden to engage enemies on my own. Apparently, the knowledge I accumulated is the reason for that.

it wasnt a typekill per-say. I could have done it at any point since we were all parked by the WH. It was just your comment about all the serco's looking at you that tripped my sense of the absurd. you sounded slightly paranoid about it so i figured i'd give you reason to be. :)
I just noticed that ALL of the serco in B-8 were standing still and looking right at me (The only Itani in-sector), and was busy typing up a pithy comment along the lines of "I hope no one accidentally hits their FIRE button..." When... <poof>
