How can someone call themselves human if they've not seen Babylon 5

hmm... i never saw Babylon 5 either, but that is very cool... ah what am i saying?! WHAT ABOUT THE NT??? HUH? WHAT ABOUT THEM?

/me points to Babylon 5's season premiere in his Netflix queue.
Season 1 isn't that good, season 2 is okay, season 3&4 are godsend. So be patient.
MMkay.
Serco Goal: Destroy the Itani for their sins against our people
Itani Goal: Destroy the Serco for their sins against their people
NT Goal: Make money and wage slight war on Itani and Serco for sins against their people
So we're all men of our word really. Cept for Itani, who are of course, female.

Sir Frog takes offence to his designation as a female. While it is possible for female frogs to change their genders, Sir Frog is, and has always been a male.
Magus, tell Sir Frog to be careful...he may encourage someone to make him "not male".
I really don't see a problem with having characters on all three nations but It must be stressed that everyone should have a loyalty to only one. Those that change nations must also change their loyalties. Not a very easy thing to do unless motivated by some very nasty circumstances.
In your case, UncleDave, I know exactly what you are talking about and it seems just a matter of time until others and myself fall victim to those circumstances.
I've felt from the very first moment that I started in this test that anyone killing another player without a compelling reason should be penalized and if they kept doing it, expelled. I still feel that way. The hours of lost work on bugs, alone, is my main reason for feeling this way.
Devs, there are a lot of things wrong with this version of your work but, when I look on the online player list, I either don't bother logging on or log on and do something other that bugging because I know I'll be attacked and have to start over or go through the hastle of getting back to where I left off.

I guess everyone has a limit. today I toed that limit with a few fellow mild tempered (not trigger happy) serco. a few malicious and untrustworthy itani blew me and cow up while I made mine art on a roid, destroyed my art, and broke my centaur. later, I was griefed while botting, my duels were broken/interfered with, and I was unfortunate enough to encounter swarm spammers who mined.
currently, there are just too many methods/exploits to make anyone's experience horrible. I can understand how many Serco would like to change alliances to avoid being targeted and bothered, but I think leaving Serco to fend for itself will only encourage more griefers to target Serconians, and weaken the nation : (
I heard ya UncleDave when you said the switch was temporary, but I hope you come back to Serco soon, or things could get worse.
*sigh

1st off, as it is that most players feel that griefing and pirating has gone way too far, i am inclined to agree... to an extent. I understand that pirating and griefing is necessary to the game (maybe not right now it isnt, but in the future in the final game it is (IMO)) however i dont feel that guilds are needed for pirates. I am of course talking of the Syndicate, and the CRU guilds/teams (the CRU isnt really a guild, just a bunch of players with numbered names - no guild tag). 2nd, i agree with Dave and RelayeR that something has to be done, and that its not an important method to be taken care of right now, if at all (that is my understanding of what they said). 3rd, as i have previously stated taking breaks from the game because of pirating/griefing is necessary, and i myself am now taking this action. I myself had a run in with 2 CRU members, and "Triflare Whore" and as much as i want to say that i dint mind dying, i did show much of my anger towards them in my cockieness, and my rude behavior. Not to mention that when you keep dying it does start to affect your game play, speaking of personal reasoning here. Finally, having an alias for each nation does affect your status and credability to a nation. I AM loyal to the NT however i do contain 2 alias not on the NT team, invisible one (itani) and visible one (serco). As visible one i have been griefed by the INM, and many other players who i am on friendly terms with as a NT, Jm262 in particular (though he may have been joking around for no reason). Some player, Katarn for example, have looked past that and had fun ramming me in my vulture just for the heck of it, which is very damaging to a valk (if hit on the wing tip where the small port weapons are located). So yes, all though loyalties seem to change while players play as another alias on another team, many players change their opinions of that player as they play on that team.
If any of the last part makes sense to anyone then congratulations you are 1 of the few.
/me dint know that mouse was loyal to the serco dominion
/me wonders why her main char is serco, but her account alias is NT

harvestmouse, I kept thinking who evoila (SP) is, and it slipped my mind that it was you :S.
I don't mind Pirates. Its a part of gameplay... But what I can't stand are greifers... Pirates need to kill traders to live, so I can understand their motives, but greifers.... What are their motives? To scare newbies out of the game? To annoy everyone online? To piss off people? Greifers need to be thrown into s0 and left there.
As for loyalty... I don't think people need to choose a nation to be loyal to. Sure some people will hate you for being in a certain nation, but if you look at it, nations are useless. You end up being self-sufficient and only relying on your friends for backup (NOT THE NATION). Nations is just another useless symbol in the game that is always fought over.
Im loyal to Serco. Most of them, if not all, are pretty friendly, and most of us will be there when another nation attacks. I will never switch to another nation (but I do have other charaters in other nations...: <Click> (Blue); SpyRX (Gold); <MonkRX> (Gold); MonkRX (the Main one, Red).
PS: Serco OWNS!
RelayeR Helped a n00b out :). mX2. I recived help within 2 seconds of asking. Ty. (mX2 was me).
Every nation has its faults. Serco always seems to be the target :(. (NT really is Neutral...)

The day that warphoppers no longer survive, and people can catch pirates and griefers will be a glorious day.

-When pirates are actually forced to pirate for money rather than shits and giggles, we will be able to catch them. That valk can't hold much cargo after all >:-)

Boy, Monk...you played me like a fiddle! hehe. I never would have thought you weren't a n00b! You even flew away without listening a couple times...just like a n00b! :D
I respectfully disagree with you about loyalties though. Trust will be a larger part of this venture in the future (I'm assuming) and I do not trust players that appear on all three nations without mantaining a loyalty to one. Now that I know about you, Monk, I trust you more.
For those that want to role-play pirates, more power to you. For those that engage in being a homicidal maniac, you must make sure you are not targeting someone that is engaged in what we are all here to do. De-bug this engine.
We're all smart people here...some just have to start using their heads.

You dissapoint me, Dave. This is the time where the Legion needs us, the die-hard Serconians, the most. I'd say more, but I'm rather speechless. I thought you to be as true to our beloved Nation as I am.
Die-hard. Agreed. I die hard. But you haven't learnt what I have, and that is that our "beloved Nation" is no better than our oppressors. I cannot fight under the name of our Lady when I know our goals are different: I fight for peace, our Nation fights for war. So I must break away now and set things right.
Perhaps when I have shown you all your error, Serco loyalists, you will come around to my way of thinking. It is not down to the "kills" or the number of ships you destroy, we are all of one race. There cannot be a "right" and a "wrong". Of course I will fight beside those I trust, but unfortunately that no longer extends to all of you. Perhaps I am truer to the Serco ideal than most of you languishing in pointless battles, neverending bouts between the Itani military and the Serco hordes. Death is NOT to be taken lightly, not every Itani killed is a victory.
I will fight for who I want to fight for, and will not be confined by this reckless wartime communism that has descended upon Serco. Perhaps there is no war at all. Perhaps it has been created.

You misunderstand. I do not stay loyal with Serco because it gives me a good opportunity to slay every Itani who crosses my path with the pitiful "reincarnation" of the Serco Attack Wing. In fact, since I came back to Vendetta after my recent long break from the game, I have found myself opposing to the SAW massacre of Itani.
A while ago I was invited from my home in the Neutral Terretories (I was called Zathras at the time) over to the Serco Dominion.
I became Chronolord of the Serco.
I was happy that the Serco accepted me and wanted to teach me how to fight, but I missed the peace and quiet of sector 3 and the shining iceroids of sector 6.
That is when I relaized I am a true NT. I want to swoosh about the universe with a full cargo hold.
Not because I make money but because I accomplish something.
I don't want to kill. I want to do stuff that stays, not blow stuff away. That is me. That is why I am a member of the Neutral Terretories and all my three characters are Gold.
I respect the Serco, and most of them I respect UncleDave.
I belive UncleDave is still Serco and probably allways will be.
He has been exiled by forces I don't know of. I don't judge anyone.
For my part you are welcome to be Golden for as long as you want and noone should tell ANYONE different.
If I disagree with NT griefers and general idiots enough then Scarab will become Red. Not because I am Serco at heart or ever will be, but because I have been exiled by my resentment of NT.
I hope this will never happen.
If this happens to anyone they are welcomed by me to become Neutral. Just don't bring your war to us.
I want no part of your hate.
I sometimes wish I could become Grey.
Demonen of the Grey Nation. A wanderer and non-aligned trader.
You may take all my guns and stick me in a bus if you want. It's not about explosions or speed for me. I'm here to trade and explore the universe.
Just let me see the iceroids of sector 6 and allow me to visit my childhood home of sector 3.

Well now I know the cause. Remeber Dave, as far as I'm concerned, you'll always have a spot reserved in the docking bay in 12.
Indeed he has.
