If whistler is quite religious, that would explain his rather black and white view on profanity.

I've seen kierkys original unedited post. He wasn't actually directing his profanity at anyone in particular. He kept it general and ambiguous. Maybe whistler has a wild imagination and assumes a bit too much.

I'm a lapsed secular pastafarian at best. The ROC expressly forbids the behavior I cited. In this case, I intervened because it had become disruptive.

In both instances the profanity was directed at an individual (which was the threshold I used in deciding to intervene, but vague profanity is not necessarily permitted either) and I believe I acted reasonably. joylessjoker is the one with a wild imagination regarding the use of profanity in the forums, as he demonstrated some time ago in reference to me.

My aim in moderating is to decrease the time Incarnate has to spend on putting out fires here. There's a whole lot of stuff in the EULA and ROC that is disallowed. I certainly don't have the time to enforce all of it, and somebody would have to be on it full-time to deal with it all. Instead, I step in to defuse or manage issues as I see fit. People have the option of managing themselves, and most do so quite nicely. I make Incarnate aware of my actions, and people are free to take it up with him if they feel that I am out of line.

1. Kierky has always been clear about his personal war. You people shouldn't assume too much.

2. Discussing who's alt is or is not who's is a hundred miles away from RP, and should get those involved a temporary ban from the RP forum. And don't bother with who started it, that's not good RP either. And yes I know I just violated my own rule, but it had to be said.

3. Serco nationalist guilds are filled with itani alts, and vice versa. I'm best buddies with some of the people that insult me the most.
