I too will actually start roleplaying, and with a name-change of course, the "story so far" on my new character can be found here:

and is updated every other weekday, if you care to follow it until it reaches modern Vendetta times(starts out just after the military found and began exloiting the wormhole that was floating around saturn)

Hopefully I can get the story to get where it needs to be before the reset, but if I don't I'm going to have to delay some of my roleplaying stuff(and if you see me on as Skrail and I shoot you, remember, its just for fun until the story catches up :P)

1) Drop the Sam titles (seriusly, anyone you see online as Sam or any variation of Sam wont be me)

Geeze. Almost everyone says they're gonna pirate. So how's the game gonna be different than before? Who's gonna be a freighter captain if everyone who's anyone is competing to steal their cargo?

What about looking into new roles to play? For example, newbie trainer, naval enforcer, fast courier (for when the mission system comes in) or like Ku Genin, a wandering bard who likes to sing showtunes? :D

Well you see, i am a better pirate and will push those others out of commision by pirating what they pirate.

1) I plan to make a LOT of money by trading. And giving it to people who are in need of it.

2) Provide Escort to newbies who are in danger of being pirated.

3) Organize more varied fights. Why does everyone fight in 9? How bout fight in 15? or 17 for that matter? Hehehe

4) Start a minor attempt at roleplaying. A rich merchenary who fights for those who need protection in this hostile universe.

to answer your concerns, i already am helping any newb that asks me in whatever way i deem fit (this does include killing the newb when he shoots at me, so he learns not to shoot anything that moves).

i am a long-range recon pilot, currently off-duty, as there is no long range recon work to be done (noone ever asks me to do any...)

i am now captain in the Serconian Navy and enforce territorial and other claims of our dominion.

i am the founder of the corps diplomatique and hope to see it working once the reset is come.

and i spread the word of Serco! what more do you want?

ok, i could try doing all this while pinching my nose with one hand, holding my neck with the other and commandeering my ship with my toenails.

Maybe I'll get a little more into my character. I want to get better at combat and organize a shock squad. We'll attack Itani trade convoys (or, in the event of a lack of convoys, harass individual traders so much they'll form convoys, just so we can say we attack convoys). We will not be pirates. There is no chance of mercy. You won't be able to pay us off. We may not even destroy your ship, just rile you up and "fire a few across your nose". Basically, total disruption of Itani supply lines will be our deal. I might make a new character for this, depends on who's interested.

It's kind of like New Year's resolutions, but for Vendetta's money and score reset. This is a time where you'll be given a chance to start from scratch and to do things differently. Feel free to evolve your character or create a new one from scratch. Changes may include switching nations, switching names, switching roles, switching behavior patterns, etc.

So, what are YOUR resolutions? Post 'em.

Mine? I've got several that will fairly compromise some of my past grievances.

1. I'll avoid using all special ships completely. I feel that flying non-specials offers a fun challenge and helps build skill. Being a good pilot in a non-special is also more respectable than being yet another Valk jockey who rocket rams his way to fame.

2. I'll take up more random and spontaneous tasks, including pirating and bounty hunting. This will usually depend on the situation though. In other words my behavior will be more unpredictable.

Hint: don't leave high-bounty teammates or traders unescorted.

3. I'll work alone and will try to be more quiet in the game, giving the appearance of a "mysterious" mercenary with a hidden agenda. This does not mean I'll ignore everybody or all my previous friends. Conversations will be held privately to avoid spying and petty arguing.

4. I'll be less confrontational and will employ guerrilla tactics, rather than attacking head-on like I usually do. This may or may not mean more mining for the future. It depends on whether you feel the need to bring buddies along to gang up on me. Don't be surprised if I use 'em to even my odds though. Expect major consequences for using cheap tactics.

Okay, I think that's about it. I'd like to hear what some of you guys are planning after the reset. I DON'T WANT TO SEE PEOPLE FLAMING EACH OTHER. There's no point in arguing what path anyone has chosen because everyone is free to do as they please. This is a role playing forum, so treat it as such.

1. SirCamps will die. No, I won't delete him, because there have been some attempts at identity theft in the past. He will, once again, sink into oblivion, where he's been since 3.1.

2. My on-duty character will be "Defense Ship 4" (Itani) and "Defense Ship IV" (Serco). They are for guild-related missions.

3. My off-duty character will be "Bacix Tenra" (Serco). This is my "private life," and he will be the normal guy you've known since 3.2.
