DEFENCE AGENCY

Greetings, my player name is Chris B, and I am starting a freelance defence aganecy for people in the game who want to trade, but are worried about being attacked. Now I know what you mean. I have often had to make the decision between cargo load or weapons. Well traders, look no further! I am setting up a defence agency for all traders in need of protection. I have a Blue Warthog with a tachiyon (spelling?) blaster and a plasma cannon. I am a skilled pilot and should be able to hold off most ships that might attack such as NPC's and pirates. So please, if you would like to learn more about how to hire or apply for a job, contact me on this forum. I work weekends (when school doesn't become a problem) and my price is 1000c per space travelled through. I know that may be high for some, but when you factor in the cost of buying yourself a new ship and how much you will recieve upon delivery, the cost is more than reasonable.

doesn't this belong in the :roleplaying->guild central: thread?
anyway. if your guild (i assume taht you won't be working alone forever) works out (and i hope it does), i'd like you to name a representative (ambassador) to make contact with the diplomatic corps (i.e. me, so far).

in reply to rene:
i have no problem with him charging money for help. if it's worth the pay, i might even consider it myself. i'll just wait a bit and see how it works out.

You cannot defend anything from a organization as powerfull as the syndicate. :P
But anyway gl, its always nice to see anybody helping out people as their main purpose in the game.

So, finally on Vendetta again? :P 'tis a nice idea, but it might not work until the roleplaying aspect gets bumped up a bit. Just ask about the VPAI, the UNPF, and the IN-SAS...

Good luck with that.

You can not defend against an organization as strong as ME.

oo silent, you're wrong! it's not s9 you have to align with, it's sector 8! ;)
now the poor man will miss the right gate, jumping to an alternate reality and he will never ever be able to return to the test!

Hey, I need money for my ship buying and suping. I think that bot killing pays too little, trading is really boring, and scavenging is both boring and dangerous. Whatever. Anyway, if you want to join my little group (I call it that even though I'm the only one) e-mail me at chris500@mac.com And Pyro, I expect you to join. You can be vice-president.

Hey, I had a question, what is all of this talk about cruisers? I here about them everywhere, and I checked out the screenshots of a couple of them flying around, and exploding, but where are they? And what are the capital ships? I think they are the same as the cruisers, but how should I know? It's been almost a year since I played last.
Sep 16, 2003 silentsuicide link
Yup you can find a cruiser (better known as the Frigate) in sector 16, in the latter versions of 3.2 it was a big bot that you could kill. Now its a station that you can dock in and it acts just like a normal station excecpt for the fact that all cargo sells for 0. To get to 16 simply go to sec 5 station, turn so that the 9 wh is directly behind and boost out a bit, scan your radar for the little grey dot and *poof* your in 16.
Sep 28, 2003 SNUFFALUFFAGUS link
okay wait, is it 8 or 9? because I don't want to be out there boosting around like an idiot trying to get to a sector that doesn't even exist. Oh, and if I find this little gray dot, should I just hit "activate" or just run into it?

P.S. was that big bot hard to kill?
Sep 28, 2003 Renegade ++RIP++ link
run into it untill it states activate to enter sec 16.

heers

you know, 8 and 9 are pretty much the same thing on the radar(from the station) I just kinda aim my arse towards that general area and fine-tune it when I get within 3km of the hole
Like, wow, I can see it ^^
Sep 29, 2003 SNUFFALUFFAGUS link
Are there any seriously tough bots there that I might have to *ahem* "negotiate" with to be able to land? Cause I saw from the screenshots that there was a whole lot of meanies flying around, but that could have been from when it was still a bot... whatever, my Ragnarök can take them. Twin tachyons, an advanced gattling turret (YAY!) and a swarm missle launcher (DOUBLE YAY!).
Sep 29, 2003 Magus link
Actually, you're supposed to put the station right in between all 4 wormholes on your radar, line up with the station and boost out. This method has never failed me and I never have to bother looking for infinetessimally faint grey dots.
Sep 29, 2003 toshiro link
i don't know what your problem with the dot is?
at the station, put 8 or 9 in the center of the rear radar and you don't even have to care about the dot anymore...
