Sorry for this late reply, but...
There is already a "Defense Agency" in the game -
The Defense Ships.

We do everything from escorting traders to blasting down pirates and griefers.
Talk to SirCamps…

now you have competition :D

my price is 1000c per space travelled through. I know that may be high for some, but when you factor in the cost of buying yourself a new ship and how much you will recieve upon delivery, the cost is more than reasonable.

That won't cover the costs of being killed by LeathaL or Kastin every time you run into them. Competition? Hehe, we'll see..

AARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!! CAN'T YOU SEE I'M TRYING TO START A BUSINESS HERE? Fine, I gues there are others who are willing to do it for free, but then again, they already have so much money that they don't need to charge. I need to charge. I need money. I am not rich. The admin is rich. I am not the admin. Precis?

Well, you can make a business out of it after the reset. With everyone at 22 billion or what not, it doesn't make sense to talk about money now.

a-yup.
and rene... you only do it for blue newbs? discrimination! i help newbs regardless of their colour. AND i do it for free.
we should rather have a training corps guild.
benevolent players of all nations (preferrably equal numbers of members) can sign up for duty and get perks (so they don't really do it 4 free) and train newbs. their success rate would be monitored (how? not thought up yet. this just came to my mind) and it would be determined whether they could stay in the firm or wether they couldn't. and i'd be boss... eheheh.
i do not smirk in the forums. but if i did, this would be an excellent possibility to do so.

OH COOL! It could become like that big brother big sister thing except we would teach them about fighting, mayhem, and death! We could easilly moniter them on the stats page. Just make a search link for anyone who is signed up. I would willingly do it for free. It could be fun.

I was just looking at the new station pics and I was thinking. You have to be a really skilled pilot to be able to boost into the station we have now at 156 and not die. I tried it in a Warthog a couple of times and I've gotten pretty good at it, but with the new station (which is REALLY cool by the way) there is no challenge to docking. The port is just way to big. Anyways, then it got me thinking again. What if they incorporated a sort of "Planet Side" mode into it for when you are in the stations? This would open up a whole new kind of gameplay! You would be able to ride in a transport flown by other people, you would be able to invade enemy stations, have massive battles for control over stations. I tould be totally kickass! Imagine being able to take a first person look out one of the windows of the station and see a bunch of enemy ships coming! There would be battles inside the station! Maybe if they got into it, you would be able to create a "station guard" of people to man emplaced guns and stuff to defend the station! Wow. What a rant.

It's been discussed before and having a game engine within a game engine is too big a technical hurdle and is relatively superfluous once you get past the "Whoa cool!" factor.

The old docking versus the new one. The old docks were hard on bigger ships. Try docking at any decent speed in a Rag or a Centaur. It made escape for heavies difficult. The new one (with the enclosed docking zones) makes the same hurdle for all ships. (Getting around the inclosure.) So it is much more fair.
