ONE is still inactive

Aye, Pirren - it's a shame ONE can't join their comrades in arms the Red Army at Nation War. Even this past Nation War the only Serco present were myself and Blitzkrieg Bob [REDS]. Regarding the Nation Wars of the past two weeks Dominion forces were, to use an expression from ancient Terra, a fart in the whirlwind - I look forward to the day we claim that prize for ourselves.

Well, Typherion, work hard on your PvP skills and someday the prize will be yours.

What about your Serco background, find Ritter in game, he'll teach you the basics Serco warrior should know.

Speaking about your new guild, talk to me in the game, I'd like to join it with my Serco alt that is guildless atm. I think this char will likely help you with training or military operations against ebil Itani forces. Anyways we need to discuss some "details" more private :] I have nasty diplomatic idea

For Lady Serco!

Good job Pirren, now if the poor guy does try to do anything diplomatic everyone's gonna assume it's part of some "nasty" idea from a pirate alt who was (at least at once time) well known to fly with itani nationalists against other serco.

Don't panic, Seragyn! Everything is under control :}

I formed the Red Army as a young officer with lofty ideals about honor and valor but have discovered in the past weeks that such virtues do not fund a sustained campaign against the enemy. The blood and cries of my enemies have opened my ears and also set my eyes on the true road to victory. As a more seasoned officer I see now that there are more enemies to the Dominion than I first realized - the deceitful Itani were easy to identify, but the real danger was in their supporters who carry cargo into Jallik from Edras and also those who refuse to support the Dominion. A stronger hand must be taken with trade groups who smile to our face yet carry armaments behind our backs to the hands of the enemy.

It is also my sad surprise to hear from Prime Command that they have cut our war budget by half - the Deneb conflict is ever draining our resources. When I asked for an increase to our war chest their response was to acquire what we need from the hands of the enemy. It is unfortunate that Prime Command no longer supplies all our resources, but at least convenient that now we no longer must wait on resupply drops and cargo shipments - we've been given letters of marque to confiscate whatever we require from any pilot or convoy not in favor of the Dominion.

I had some grand ideals as a young officer, but the realities of logistic needs and the deceitful maneuvering of presumed neutral organizations has set a new road for us. For those who are curious how much has changed they're welcome to review the Enlistment Manual and Diplomatic Resolutions stored in the Files section of the guild website here: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/redarmybulletin/

Dear Sir/Madam,

Did you know, that all ships lost in Deneb conflict are 100% compensated and for every killed Itani, pilot receives quadrupal rewards?

User Manual
How to receive free ship in Deneb.

1. Set home in GR
2. Take BS mission
3. Warp to Deneb
4. Kill all smurfs on the way
5. Die
6. Hit "Yes" in "Buy back last ship" dialog.
7. If you notice, no creds are taken off your bank account for lost ship, only for weapons (don't look what's written in log, take in mind only bank account before/after)
8. This feature allows you to fight non-stop in free SCP or any other ship you prefer
9. Enjoy
May 17, 2011 jamesbuhls link
Pirren, I know all ships are paid for in Deneb - my last post was part of the role-play for this character and was a story element imagining that the Dominion is laying out a lot of credits for Tridents, Terradons, HAC's, etc., and is cutting funds to smaller units as part of the larger war effort.

+1 to guild description, T. As I said it has much more future than ONE, especially if you maintain Serco RP.

All Serco and citizens of the United Independent Territories are invited to enlist in the Serco military and join the ranks of the Red Army! The Red Army values strong warriors and welcomes pirates, privateers, marauders, and terrorists into its ranks. Pirates and ex-pirates may join the Red Army provided they have no Dominion bounties and that they adhere to the rules detailed in the enlistment manual provided at the Red Army Bulletin.

Being the commander of the Red Army guild I've been in a position to hear the talk and discussion concerning us fourth-hand as it circulates through the galaxy. Some of this talk is accurate, and other talk is simply uninformed. The Red Army guild is not in its present state as it was upon formation and as I stated previously my original vision for Red Army turned out to not just be weak but a decision which hindered our ability to wage war against the Itani Nation. To return to the problem of the uninformed talk about the Red Army, there seem to be people in the Vendetta galaxy who are incorrectly informed or who choose not to learn the truth of our guild first-hand.

This is rumor control: what follows is selected portions of the Red Army fieldbook publicly available at the Red Army Bulletin ( http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/redarmybulletin/ ).

Enlistment

The Red Army is open to all Serco and to all citizens of the United Independent Territories. Minimum requirements are to be a member of either the Dominion or the UIT and have minimum Dominion standing of Neutral. The Red Army values strong warriors and welcomes pirates and privateers into its ranks provided they have no Dominion bounties, have minimum Dominion standing Neutral, and they adhere to the rules outlined in this enlistment manual.

The Red Army exists to promote Serco identity and expand the Serco Dominion. As such, the Red Army's primary activities are to defeat the enemies of Serco. They are:

1.To engage the Itani Nation in border skirmishes and win the contested Deneb territories for our own.
2.To conduct border patrols and defend the Serco Dominion from Itani intrusion.
3.To deny the Itani Nation access to the Neutron blaster MkIII by killing their xith convoys, protecting our own xith convoys, and bringing captured xith back to the Dominion.
4.To defend the natural resources of the Serco Dominion by engaging and exterminating the Hive presence in Serco space.
5.To hunt and kill criminals and enemies of the state.
6.To blockade the Edras-Jallik wormhole and confiscate by any means all material support to the Itani Nation.

Rules of Engagement

The Red Army values strength and honor above all else. Strength is found in open combat – the Red Army does not conduct surprise attacks or deceive its allies. As often as possible, pilots should hail their victims with a “YARR!,” “PREPARE TO DIE!,” "I EAT YOUR BABIES!," or similar war cry. Honor is found in the rules of engagement:

* Deneb is a warzone and anything there not allied with the Dominion may be shot on sight.
* Anybody escorting Itani xith convoys or carrying captured xith to Divinia may be shot on sight.
* Anybody attacking Dominion xith convoys or stealing Dominion xith may be shot on sight.
* Criminals with Dominion bounties may be shot on sight.
* Any pilot going passing through the Edras-Jallik wormhole is either an active or passive supporter of the Itani Nation and may be shot on sight. One-time exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis.
* All Itani are enemies of the Dominion and may be shot on sight.
* UIT pilots with Dominion standing Dislike or lower may be shot on sight.
* Serco pilots with Dominion standing Hate or lower may be shot on sight.
* Exceptions to these rules are stated as diplomatic resolutions.

Diplomatic Resolutions

The only alliance which the Red Army has formed is with Big Red One [ONE], the longest-standing Serco nationalist military guild before the Red Army. ONE soldiers will be treated with courtesy and given all cooperation in matters concerning the Dominion.

As a matter of diplomacy the Red Army has made a unilateral declaration of non-hostile relations with the following non-governmental organizations and law enforcement agencies. The Red Army believes criminals and supporters of the Itani Nation are far worthier opponents than peaceful miners, humanitarian relief groups, and respected law enforcement agencies. The following organizations are considered non-hostiles and all their members – Itani included – will be treated with courtesy wherever they may be found:

* Orbital Rock Extraction [ORE]
* Emergency Mechanical Services [EMS]
* The Vipers [VPR]

The Red Army respects the culture of strength and combat found in outlaw organizations and criminal syndicates, but of course this doesn't exempt the Red Army and Dominion interests as targets. The following criminal syndicates, terrorist organizations, and hostile trade blocs are treacherous and may be shot on sight:

* Kharon's Shores [CHRN]
* Cargo Liberation Movement [CLM]
* The Headhunter Corps, also called The Homicidal Cult [THC]
* Hoist da Jolly Roger [@X]
* FreeRoam Industries [FR]

The Red Army is at war with the Itani Nation and has declared war against the following Itani nationalist groups who may be shot on sight:

* The Coalition of Itan [ITAN]
* Skygge Vakter [SKV]

Regarding the various factions, nations, organizations, and trade blocs in the game, Red Army soldiers are under strict guidance to observe the following regulations:

Convoys belonging to and those escorting the convoys of the Serco Dominion, Union of Indendent Territories, Valent Robotics, BioCom Industries, and Xang Xi receive automatic immunity from the Red Army and will not be attacked. The only exception is if they attempt to break a Red Army blockade at the Edras-Jallik wormhole.

Convoys belonging to and those escorting the convoys of the Itani Nation, Axia Technology Corp, and Ineubis Defense Research are enemies of the Dominion and may be shot on sight.

Convoys belonging to and those escorting the convoys of Corvus Prime, the Propeller Group (TPG), Orion Heavy Manufacturing, Aeolus Trading Prefectorate, and Tunguska Heavy Mining Concern receive no special protection. Red Army soldiers carrying letters of marque may choose to confiscate cargo from these vessels to support the war effort.

Honorable Conduct

Red Army soldiers do not troll or verbally harass other players – only cowards waste time with empty words. We prefer to duel or else will settle our differences in open combat. Red Army soldiers do not complain or behave childishly if they are ever defeated by an adversary – they will always offer a “gf” (good fight) on channel /100 or even thank the attacker for the combat experience. The Red Army does not ever pay protection fees or agree to pay pirates and criminals for safe passage – such actions disgrace our honor and defame our proud character.

Public Communication Channels

The Red Army primarily communicates on the in-game communication channel /520. Channel 520 is chosen in remembrance of the May 20 (5/20) Victory Day over the Itani on Terra II in the year 2853 AD.

LOL Pirren, I'm EX-CLM remember, and EX-THC.

And I have my reasons for doing things this way now - it's fun and more newb friendly, and I need justification for my online existence, and blowing up moths isn't enough. FR are aggressively nationalist, which is something everyone complaining about "ninny guilds" should accept - in my opinion.

On topic, best of luck to the Red Army!

INCOMING TRANSMISSION...
TO: COMMANDER TYPHERION, RED ARMY
FROM: COMMANDER RYAN REIGN, BRACTUS LIBERATION FRONT

Upon further investigation of your guild the BLF has officially changed its classification of TRA. Your pilots will be treated with the respect that all superior life forms.

You may call upon the BLF and its pilots for combat assistance in Deneb or in blockades.
You may call upon the BLF for other types of support to be determined at a later date.
And you may request intelligence reports.

Naturally, all of this is dependent on current BLF policies and political alliances (when in Gray Space) and without condition in any and all Dominion controlled systems as well as Deneb.

END TRANSMISSION.
