Typherion,

lol, ONE doesn't serve Serco Empire, they even don't know that name of our homeland.

quick ONE advantages:
-- Group activities (sometimes)
-- Helpful CO
-- Respectful council and lieut
-- Ability to drain guild bank
-- Newbie friendly

quick ONE disadvantages:
-- Tonns of alts
-- Low-skill PvP
-- Lack of PvP instructors
-- weird diplomacy, can't find their place in VO alliances or even create their own. PA+TGFT+FR+ .. ONE? or what, haha, fun ))
-- Guildtag, guildname, guild description, guild forum

@ Piren (out of character) From a role-play position that was my fault - I thought I read "Serco Empire" in the back history, but of course it's the Serco Dominion. It's funny the way you can mix things up when you're reading quickly.

(back in character) Regarding ONE, they are a unit within the larger military - as is the Red Army. Not even the Itani historians will debate that the Serco military is the largest in the galaxy - there is room in the Serco Dominion for more than ONE. It is ONE's prerogative to enlist only Serco pilots, but I believe they do a disservice to the Serco Dominion and, to use an expression, "cut off the nose to spite the face" by not extending a hand of welcome to the skilled pilots of the United Independent Territories. The Serco military at large has always permitted the Neutrals to choose to support Serco Deneb - if Serco nationalist movements do not make an effort to recruit soldiers from the UIT, you can be assured that the Itani Nation will. The question regarding ONE and other units in the Serco military that must be answered is if a nationalist unit is one which supports Serco pilots, or one which supports Serco itself - I believe there is a difference, that there is room for both, and that it would be folly not to recruit our brothers from the Territories.

Regarding pilot skills, you can knock mine when you can beat me pirren

As to the rest... well diplomacy is a bit more intricate for non-rats.... otherwise...ONE does not oppose new serco guilds forming. Although, since I've been here no new nationalists guilds have been able to gain a foothold, and end up folding into the larger, more established guilds already in existence. We will treat this new guild as friendly until they prove themselves otherwise. Anyone seeking to further the dominion is a potential ally, not competition.

Honeslty I hope a serco guild really kicks off and shows the same amount of consistency as Itan.
May 05, 2011 space999999 link
You know what I think would be neat? If serco and itani cooperated to control Grey. It would be effective, and it would benefit everyone.
May 05, 2011 endercp12 link
Hate to break it to ya spidey, ITAN is anything but consistent, just a few months ago there were none to be found, though it is nice that you folks decided to show up to the party finally.
May 06, 2011 Lord~spidey link
Well we're more consistent that the serco's :P

on second thought maybe not since being dead 90% of the time is technically more consistent than being alive 50% of the time :P
May 06, 2011 Paradoxical link
I hope the Red Army works out and I hope you have more honour than ONE. ONE wants to talk about consistency? Thats a laugh. They'd be better suited to talk about paranoia, duplicity and witch hunts.

I'm Serco born and bred, I fought the hive when I was to young to fight in Deneb and I fought in Deneb as soon as I was old enough. I flew along side the greatest Serco pilots to drive back the enemy. I led incursions deep into Itani space and brought the fight to their very door steps. For years I fought, bled and killed for the glory of the dominion.

When I returned... I was accused of being an Itani spy.

I was held accountable for war crimes against my own people. Accusations with no evidence, apart from the word of ONE council members. I was tried in absence by a court of ONE and convicted. I managed to escape just minutes ahead of the security forces.

I now reside in Odia, a man with no nation and no army. It was there that the first bounty hunters came for me. It was there that my life was saved, by a member of ITAN.

Want to know what I know about ITAN and ONE? ONE may have some fine pilots, but its policies are those of Akan his own self. They talk about trust and honour, and their words are hollow and taste of bile.

ITAN doesn't care that I'm Serco. And though I'll never fly against the Dominion, I've proudly flown side by side with ITAN against many other enemies. Though I can never join ITAN and I would not even if I could, though I can not and do not want to be one of them... I have found a home with them, a purpose and when they speak of honour... the words ring true.

I'm unsure who in ONE you were paradoxical, nor do the circumstances you describe ring a bell. However, the the word of, as yo put it, "guild councillors" which implies several of them had the same views, would probably get you kicked from any guild in VO. Personally however, I only know of one person ever expelled from one forcibly, and he later rejoined on good terms.

Thats enough hijacking here... Good luck RA, ive been giving a few of your members some pointers and help, and hope you do well.

You misunderstand Seragyn, I was not a member of ONE. I was simply a good soldier. You cannot deny that ONE is diseased, that certain parts need to be amputated... you've said as much yourself, though in kinder, gentler words.

I long for the day that the Dominion has anationalist guild that we can be proud of. Once, ONE filled that role. Maybe the role will now be held by the Red Army or maybe ONE will attend its ailments and rise to its former glory.

If we are lucky, maybe SAS and SKAR will come back.

Until that happens, I wish RA luck. When I am in Dominion space... I will help them in any way I can. I will give them something ONE never gave me. The benifit of the doubt.

LONG LIVE THE RED ARMY!

I am curious to see how all this ends. It would be beneficial to have another Serco nationalist group. Sadly I've seen guilds form and die in short order.

Sadly, I've also seen Paradoxical's tale of paranoia as well. I will say that many of ONE's pilots are in fact excellent people with enough honor to make up for the few that have none. I've had great times flying with ONE's pilots, but he is right...in so far as ONE today is not what it once was.

I do not agree with everything RA believes, but... perhaps they will rise to the top. Regardless, I wish them luck.

The single greatest obstacle facing the formation of the Red Army is that the guild must form in 48 hours and that only one person (the commander forming the guild) may invite new members. I'm not available to play late at night, so it makes it difficult for me to connect with other players. The guild forms, folds, reforms, folds again, and so on. If I had less integrity I might do what some other guilds have done and use another computer to create a few dummy accounts and stuff the council with non-players, but I feel like that would defeat the Red Army's principle of strength and honor: no strength in a guild formed of empty alts, and no honor in power derived from puppet councilmen. To use an expression I learned in the Marine Corps, a leader isn't always the one who's most qualified, but the one who steps up. I certainly don't have as much experience as the leaders of ONE, but as I mentioned before I've met several people (and heard from a fair more Itani pilots) about the difficulty contacting ONE recruitment officers. The desire is present for a Serco military guild, and I know there are UIT pilots who would like to not only support Serco but do so as part of a group. I can't comment on the past politics and drama reported concerning ONE, so I can only thank the ONE leadership for mentoring and guiding potential RA members when I'm not online. It's a shame ONE doesn't accept UIT pilots - if they did I'd be happy to enlist a UIT alt I've played as my main for some time. For those who support the Red Army, I thank you, and look forward to joining your war parties against the Itani Nation soon.

I have to say, I respect the decision to not create your guild from the inception as alts and think its a good choice. As far as helping mentor new Serco, while I of course have recruitment for my own guild in mind, any and all new Serco wishing to serve the dominion in whatever capacity deserve mentorship. I see no reason to discriminate based on which pro-dominion organization they may or may not choose to join. The problem with most guilds is one of play times, and it can be difficult to recruit a daytime player when myself and my LT's are generally night owls. It's not impossible to find us, but we, as individuals, do sometimes forget to announce our presence (or rather choose not to for tactical reasons). You've also managed to come in at a time when everyone is busy crafting away in a race to own the first player owned capital ships, once that dies down and people go back to normal activity you shouldnt have much of a problem.

If you need any advice, guidance, or training, or any of your members do when you arent on, feel free to contact me on channel 11 and I'll be more then happy to see what I can do.

Seragyn,

You're not the indicator of ONE PvP skills and still I pwn ~95% of ONE even without having to leave my hog mk2.

Hmm, and yes, your SCP against mine will be interesting and lucky-to-lucky fight.

Speaking about ONE's group PvP. When did you last time participated in the NW for the Serco? Or brave ONE warriors are afraid to loose the fight against dominating Itani forces? Get all your PvP roaster up and show no mercy to the enemy! If you start participate they won't be so "dominating".
May 07, 2011 Pizzasgood link
Yes please. The lack of Serco in NW is pretty disappointing, and somewhat self perpetuating as well.
May 07, 2011 endercp12 link
NW unfortunately, is at a time that i am unable to participate, in my several years in VO i have only managed to make it to 3 thus far. I dont see the time changing to suit me anytime soon, but if/when im able to ill be there

Pirren, you own 95% of ONE? are there 20 active players in ONE? Have you been owning half-players?
