What is known about La Familia is that whatever underground activities they undertake in are fronted with a successful protection racketeering scheme operating around the fringes of greyspace under the guise of a travel agency . Those who encounter FAMY patrols are advised to power down their engines and follow instructions to avoid loss of craft and cargo. Typical protection prices have ranged from 200,000 to 500,000 credits lasting for a 24 hour period and have been known to double as escort and protection contracts honored by the comprehensive membership of La Familia.
