We won't care.
Edited for ya, Tumble ;)
And there you have it. The finest reason to not pay a rat as related by pirates; you can pay them, but that doesn't mean they won't kill you.
Don't speak for everyone shlimazel.
Well, all rats except nice rats like Vskye.

Way to fail to define "them" and "they". [VPR] morons.
If you pay me, I will not kill you; though I will not always offer you the chance to pay me. The more generous and easy to work with a trader is, of course, the more I'm likely to always offer them a chance to pay me -- relationship building is important.
Unless you arrange it explictly, paying a pirate who also happens to be a member of a guild of pirates will not keep other guild members from pirating/killing you.
What the Hell do you trader scum expect for the cost of running into a pirate once, full immunity for the rest of your game session from anyone with a gun!?

To clarify, in general, if you pay one of us, the rest will leave you alone. That said, if you are unhappy that you are still killed by a different pirate, we won't care. Traders who are determined not to pay are more likely not to get the offer, and Vipers get no offer as they're just as likely to be killing traders as pirates are.
"To the extent you're referencing the actions of [CHRN], we don't care."
later:
"[...] relationship building is important"
Which one is it now?

Impavid, that was how I understood it. Thanks for the clarification!
Both: I only promise you safe passage from me, but that promise does mean something. Particularly if you want to get the offer even when I catch you in an XC full of ADV rails or something else juicy. The real relationship to build is one where you more or less pay the pirate every time you cross paths, and in return the pirate doesn't overcharge and/or kill you when you really want to keep breathing for some reason like a timed mission or a valuable cargo.
If you want safe passage from all CHRN just by paying one of us, we'll have to work something out and it would undoubtably cost more. It is unreasonable to expect that by paying one guilded pirate the same thing you'd pay a solo pirate, you get protection from the whole guild. Like I said before, if it worked that way, all pirates would have an economic disincentive to join guilds.

That's a lot of words to explain something so obvious.
My preferred part in this thread can be summarized:
hail, aim and shoot.
(collect too if applies)
Bleed Well : )

Heh. Blood Thirsty is awesome.

Yes, expecting that would be unreasonable indeed. However, (as I previously said), I didn't expect or assume *anything*. I expressly negotiated guild immunity.

Alright, whatever you say. Having no details on whatever specific situation you're whining about, I won't comment further.
