When you say "no sense of honor" you mean the EiG guys right? Cause, um, we've got a whole code of it and everything.

/me goes to look for possible sources of the name

genka: no, not just the EiG guys.

Members of the Syndicate has so far done the following:

- Impersonating people
- Ganging up on people
- Station/Wormhole camping
- Station mining
- Deceiving: claiming to be non-hostile and nevertheless attacking

Your "code of honor" actually encourages these practises - I must say, great deeds of honor :-]

"Your "code of honor" actually encourages these practices"

Ignoring the fact that I very much doubt you even looked at our code, please show me the parts which you believe to be encouraging of such tactics.

Except for the "ganging up on people." Thats the whole point of guilds.

edit: In case you don't know where it is, I've got a url for ya :)

our code of honor is that we discourage and attack any pirates that n00b kill or pirate one person constantly, we are trying to clean up the pirating trade, make it more fluffy and such (im at a loss of what else to call it), we discourage all pirates from n00b killing, greifing, pirating a person to bankrupcy.

oooo i know, how about you target the EIG instead, syndicate has a code of honor, evil is good has no moral or ethical values. hmmmm

Fed up with the new and improved pirates who like to gang up and act dishonourably? Don't like being station- and wormhole camped? Don't like being attacked by a pirate who claimed to be non-hostile?

Need a counterpoint to the syndicate?

Well - there's a new guild now - the Vipers. The Vipers are a pirate-hunting guild which had enough with the new batch of pirates who have no sense of honour.

This guild has been founded by UncleDave (yes, *the* UncleDave) and myself (Commander Jameson).

Right now, we've got a forum at www.neutral-territories.de -a closed one, only for Vipers.

If you want to join us, contact either UncleDave or me - I'll give you access to the forum. We don't need such things as tags - so if you like to support our quest, just join us.

HumptyThePenguin: well, the Vipers gave you today some taste about pirate hunting, didn't they? :-P And they are still in the founding process - so just wait when they are established. Of course, you don't make money pirate hunting, but money is no issue - capping gives you money, trading, donating from grateful people who can trade now unharassed.

genka/silentsuicide: The guildmaster of you guild louldy bragged that he used the disguise of an escort/non-hostile to attack his unfortunate victim, another guild member claimed non-hostiliy and attacked nevertheless, he tried to impersonate Grim Battol, the same guy challenged me - when I went out of the station the beforesaid Guildmaster backstabbed me.

So - I really don't see much difference between the Syndicate and the EiG - maybe there are some guys in the syndicate acting honourably (Grim Battol springs to my mind) but what I've seen mostly isn't very different from the EiG.

So don't complain about the Vipers - you brought it on yourselves.

You still did not demonstrate to me the part(s) of our code which you believe to encourage such tactics, all you have done is present me with examples of individuals doing not-so-honorable things. So if you would, please present me with quotes from the code that are encouraging these tactics or retract your previous statement, which I believe to be slander. Thank you.

Genka: how about rule 1:

**CODE 1: A Syndicate member's gameplay should promote profit.

(What this means: if you're losing money, change your tactics
around so that you make money. This could mean running away
from more fights, and especially teaming up with other Syndicate
members to fight back anti-pirate forces as well as teaming up
to pirate cargo ships with more effectiveness

All the rules won't forbid deceiving and impersonating - rule 1 explicitly encourages the syndicate to use whatever tactic is necessary to be successful. Well - some of your syndicate members should have memorized code 6 :-)

Anyway, it's a little bit hyprocritcal if the syndicates one the one side encourages ganging up on people but on the other side doesn't like it if it's done to them.

Like jolly old Isaac Newton said: Actio = Reactio

VIpers eh? I'll think about it. Badass pirate hunting sounds fun, I just need to make some cash. I might talk to you later Dave.

"viper" is old slang for a pot smoker. Please make my cookie an oatmeal chocolate chip - chewy, not crunchy.
