player lookin for a good guild

I would suggest looking for a place in The Syndicate. I know you've said you're looking for a large non-pirate guild, but I think you and the syndicate will be a good fit for two reasons. First off, as best as I can tell, syn's a guild of miners at this point, so the whole piracy thing won't be a problem for you. Secondly, having taken a look at some of your forums posts, as you've suggested, I have decided that you are the sort of person the syndicate caters to. Alright, who am I kidding. I pegged you for a loser before I googled your name.

Thanks?

lol what do you "peg" me as now, am i still a loser?

seriously, i'll take a look at Syndicate and see what's what.

(unless your pullin my chain, and Syndicate is one of the biggest prat guilds out there, then kudo's to you m8)

:)

/me pats darquies poor, unjustly persecuted wittle head *there there*

I take it back: apparently even if you read the forums you wouldn't be able to absorb some knowledge about VO. My apologies; I tend to assume basic reading comprehension among my fellow beings, but... I will remember in the future that you, like Milo's friend the Humbug, may "swim all day in the sea of knowledge, and still come out completely dry."

Now, will someone please save all parties some time and tell this guy to roll on back to his voice comms and his (no-doubt ample) spouse?

your an ass.

u couldn't even stick to abuse against me, but had to attack somebody else. What next lecter, wanna talk about my mommy? or tell me how so leete you are?(suprised you ain't using that kinda talk, since your acting like a kid) People like you all are the same. talk talk talk, in real life your probally some no name accountant, but here on the VO forums your king of the scrapheap, cause you Sooo good at VO. Lil advise sparkey. U can attack me, i kinda expect if from peeps like you, but keep it to me. I don't go around attacking your grandmother, i'll comment on you and your actions. Try to do the same.

unless your a full blown coward. I really don't think you are(please don't prove me wrong on this)

Mmmm, txt sp33k rebuttal. My favorite.

I suppose I could correct the poor grammar of your post (please look up the 'your' vs. 'you're' distinction, at least), but I'm afraid someone needs my no-name generic professional services this morning. As for my suggestion that you refocus your attention to a more suitable gaming experience and/or your wife, I note that you're not exactly jumping to her defense with a Body Mass Index score that would prove my guess wrong.

You have a real nice day now, you hear?

you proved me wrong.

your a coward

Mmmmm...
Sure love the smell of some good ol' ad hominem in the morning.
Apr 30, 2008 Dr. Lecter link
Don't we all, Shadoen, don't we all.

Except for darrrrrrrr!, of course, who seems to be a little bent out of shape and very sure of my overall real life personality--but he hardly counts.

The love is surely in the air.

And what's so wrong with big booty women? I like my women like I like my ships. With lots of cargo space and a wide profile!

Bones are for the dogs and meat is for the men! *grin*

Hey, papa, I made a guess about a fact (abet one irrelevant to VO): that an assumedly American woman, old enough to be married and married to a guy with darquies's lifestyle and writing abilities, was obese.

While darquies instinctively took that as an insult (which really says more about his prejudices towards endomorphs than mine), I never made any sort of aesthetic value judgment about thick women ;)

[edit]Understood; the above was offered in a *grin*-like spirit as well[/edit]

I was just having fun. I always fly the friendly forum sky's with the ship that has the thickest hull. I suggest others should too, especially when flying in unfamiliar sectors. *grin*

Silly Mojo, extra cargo space's unnecessary and wider profile makes you an easy target.
Corvus Vult FTW! =D

Corvus Vult FTW! =D

So, if I decypher the rapidly contorting analogy right... Shadoen dreams of hitting Kate Moss and/or Calista Flockhart?

Well Doc.. My wife is hardly obese, we've been married for 6yrs now, and we have an 8mo old child. I, however, am a wee bit on the pudgy side. 6' and 220lbs. My wife, however, is 5'3" and 120lbs as of a week ago.. So if you'd made the same guess about -my- wife, you'd have been dead wrong.

and yes. I'm from the USA. Alabama to be exact.

EZR
Apr 30, 2008 Dr. Lecter link
That's... pointless... to know, EZR. But thanks, I suppose.

You've never come off as being completly socially maladjusted, so I probably wouldn't consider the odds for your spouse's being grossly out of shape as high as for darquies (as I noted in passing by reference to darquies's writing style, I think it's a relevant variable if one's trying to make a guess about that fact). In any case, unlike darquies's certainity about various assumptions he has about my life, I reconize that my guess here has a fairly high probability of error. But, having not heard any statement from him to the effect of "Lecter, you're an idiot, my wife--whatever other aesthetic flaws she might have--is skinny," I tend to think I guessed right.

[Edit]EZR, I don't particularly want to insult your mate, but I just did some math in my head: my gf is 5'9" and 130 lbs, and while she's got a beautiful figure, she's not exactly a size zero (I think she's a 4). So, assuming we're both on the same page about when women are--broadly speaking, if you will--in shape, your 5'3", 120 lb wife must have some impressive... tracts of land. Congrats! ;)[/Edit]

It has been a long time since P.E., but I've edited to reflect the error. Och ;)

darquies, if you're still listening in, heres a sound word of advice: Ignore Lecter.

He's a Lawyer in Real Life™, so it stands to reason that since he seems to get off on trolling the VO forums, he's pretty good at pressing buttons. And don't even *think* about trying to argue with him; unless you've got several years of law school under your belt, the attempt will only earn your his eternal ire and/or amusement, and leave you as empty-handed as before. Trust me on this, I've got a doctorate in being humiliated by the man.

Your best bet is to ignore him, and let someone less irritating answer your pressing questions.

I will note, however, that your word-choice did seem rather pretentious, even if you didn't intend for it to come across that way. You might want to see to watching what you're writing. Consider how *you* would react if you were in our position (Lecter's chastising you is inexcusable, but your words were chafing a bit).

P.S. I keep misreading your name as "Daiquiris", and its giving me an odd craving for one.

Was there a Phantom Tollbooth reference?

Let's get it back on the topic of guilds, or the CHUDS will be nibbling on this thread by morning.

darquies, you were given solid advice by vIsitor.
