When are the official stats gonna be posted?
Some MCs who shall remain unnamed didn't save their logs so some people's stats got lost, thus the delay. Expect something soon.

==The Racers==
Katrina Le-Feir - Union pilot, Councilor of PA and one of the top three racers.
Mick - Union pilot, member of PA and one of the top three racers, back from a long hiatus.
Ashur Alnagi Itani pilot and member of ITAN; this was his first race.
drazed - Itani pilot, Councilor of ITAN; this was his sixth race.
Foo Fighter - Itani pilot and member of ITAN; a relative newcomer to the event, as this was his fourth race.
LeberMac - Itani pilot and member of ITAN; one of the veteran racers, he has recently started racing again.
Ghost - Itani pilot, Councilor-Lieutenant of SKV; he is one of the first racers in the Deneb Run, Ghost holds the #2 record finish time.
Morgan West, itani, representing [SKV]; a veteran in game, this is his second race.
Ecka Estenk - Union pilot, Commander of TGFT. Rarely races, in fact this may well have been his first. He gave up his MC job during the 100th Deneb Run so that I could do it.
Aleksey - Union pilot and a Viper (though we won't hold it against him). He races from time to time and has a good record so far.
SCAR Bank - Serco, member of SCAR. One of SCAR's high-ranking officers was behind SCAR Bank, but I'm not sure who and can't give any detailed info.
Jestatis Bess - Itani pilot, commander of ONE1. He also participates from time to time.
Breazle: Union pilot; he's a veteran racer who has done respectably in the past but is still yearning for a win after a long hiatus.
Maalik, &c. - Union pilot, this is his first race.
Blackhole Goldclaw - Union pilot, member of CLM. This is not his first race, but I don't know how many he's been in.

==Observations==
1) The race went better than I expected it would. People were there *mostly* on time, and we didn't have any self-destructing groups to deal with either.
2) Ecka sure took his time running the race. I had to leave to go get dinner before he finished!
3) Once again, I earned my nickname of "Log-san" as the only MC to have saved logs from the race. Shame on you, Jex and Martin!
4) Sometime in the next couple of weeks, the Deneb Run will be having its 2-year anniversary. Woo!

Didn't we celebrate the Run's anniversary a month or two ago, with a race in the other direction?

Personal notes:
o) I still have the full log, if Miharu wants to see my view of the race. And if she doesn't mind SERIOUS profanity.
o) After the first leg in grayspace, the Millennium Kitten was down to 7% hull (910 armor, one mposi away from oblivion). I repaired in Geira O4, much to Martin's surprise, and docked in Odia M14 at 97% (12'610 armor). The Kitten has not been repaired yet.
o) I had a RL navigator helping me, with a detailed chart of the entire nav route.
o) During a good part of the itani stretch, I had Tarkus Shar on my tail, trying to flare me. The valk X1 is quick, but if you load it with flare launchers you won't catch up the OHCGE... Luckily, Lecter is as rusted as a WWII sunken warship. ;)
o) The non-racing and downed PAs have been extremely helpful patrolling the gray systems for pirate activity and storms. I was able to avoid most of the former by the scout reports they gave on guild channel. THANK YOU GUYS!!!
o) I panicked when pirates got Mick and Ghost, ahead of me: I knew I was next. Made some bad errors due to lack of focus, like exiting from a wormhole forgetting to turbo, and reaching the 3km mark at cruise speed.
o) I hit two storms, in Ukari and Pherona.
o) During my second pass in the Edras>Odia leg, I flown alongside Ecka Estenk for some wormholes. He was one lap behind, and I trailed him hoping he could attract pirate fire. :)
o) Once docked, I jumped in a dual-swarmer Taur3, trying to escort fellow racers as they approached Odia.

I probably have the most profanity-ridden mouth in my guild, Katrina. Sometimes I even get chastised by the lieutenants for it. XD
Just to note, Ashur Alnagi's configuration was just like many others: Orion Hornet Convoy Guardian, Fast Charge Powercell, no weapons.

Yay Kat! I've STILL never beaten ye! Grrrr....
Personal notes that parallel Katrina's:
o) I still have the full log, if Miharu wants to see my view of the race. I have not logged into Vendetta-Online since the race.
o) After the first leg in grayspace, I docked at Bractus C5 and repaired, which in hindsight cost me the race, since I also lost my planned route at that point, took me almost a minute to get organized. And no one hit me with anything anyway after that, so I could have just kept going at 5% hull and all would have been well. Drat.
o) I have no RL navigator helping me, and usually just plot straight on thru except for Jallik and Itan, where I sometimes remember to plot around roids...
o) No one tried to kill me except mr_spuck, and he failed 4 times.
o) I forgot to look at guild chat during the race, which would have saved me from 2 of the 4 storms I hit enroute.
o) I did not panic when pirates got Mick and Ghost, because I was drinking. However I managed to not double-warp or do anything else stupid, which is commendable I think, based on my previous experience in doing stupid things while racing.
o) I hit 4 storms, I forget where.
o) Once docked, I sat in the bar and drank more, watching the fighting outside, it was kinda funny.
