I think selling it would be against the no entry fee nature of the race, but you're more than welcome to give it up and let someone else have it if you want.

Blue Streak already gave up his spot; I don't see anything wrong with others doing the same so that someone else can race.

Also, if pilots don't show up to the race on time, they may lose their spot and it could be taken by someone else who wants to race.

You're on, Jestatis: 500k say you don't finish the race.

And while you can give up your space in exchange for monies, favors, goods or services, you cannot say who the space will go to, so if you find a sucker to actually pay you for a space he might not get, you're set!

4pm eastern time saturday? ill be there. also im offering up a prize to whoever kills the most racers (just don't kill me), what that prize is however will remain a surprise till the end of the race but it wont be crappy.
