I'm looking for someone to host the Sunday Nation Wars. I will still participate in the War, but I won't be hosting. You need to be able to host on a regular basis.
Am I eligible?
You can host if I don't choose someone else who posts here. I haven't decided how I'll choose who will host if more than 1 person offers to :)
I could.
I suggest trial by fire--all the people who offer to host should have a small LMS--last person standing gets to host. >.>
(No, I'm not offering to host.)
(No, I'm not offering to host.)
Troll level has been raised to ORANGE people, any suspicious bridges SHOULD be avoided lest the trolls attack! This has been brought to you by the Shrubbery Administration.
On a more serious note, I might be able to. Host. The event. On sundays.

Oh. noes. the. periods. are. ki.liing. me. !.!.!
SCAR could do it. I'll personally be available all Summer and should be for the fall as well, also. We have the funds, and the personnel to keep it going.
So yea, I'll volunteer.

While I maintain my objections to the exclusion of expatriates that will not endorse a megafaction, I will cease my interference with the nation war, on the following conditions:
Participants will not restrict or inhibit free access to Sedina Hold, or any other station in Sedina.
Participants will not restrict or inhibit traffic to/from Sedina.
Participants do not otherwise interfere with the normal operations of Sedina, and specifically do not interfere with expatriates that do not pirate or otherwise engage in unsolicited aggression.

a) Who are you to demand the meeting of conditions? You are forgetting your place, cur.
b) Define 'normal operations of Sedina'.
c) You are, if anything, a pirate. So to claim that you do not pirate is, at best, ridiculous.

Rhonda, I hope you will soon get the serious hand/finger injury I wished yesterday for the whole NW duration (i.e. 3 minutes + an hour of moron hunting). Or maybe not physical injuries, but something that keeps you from flying your ships. Possibly something permanent. Winning an UIT Darwin Award would be a good solution. Our race's gene pool would be relieved by such an event.
I thought you'd at least come up with reason that is justifiable somehow... but no... you come up with something no one ever really did.
toshiro,
My demands are in exchange for agreeing to the demands of others that I not interfere in the nation war. My demands are just as valid as anyone else's demands. If my interference is of no concern to you, then you may opt to consider my demands to be of equal unimportance.
My definition of "normal operations of Sedina", would have to fall somewhere in line with what I could normally expect if the nation war was not held there. This is intentionally a generalization, so that I may hold participants responsible for any negative impact they bring to the region.
I don't know what your definition of "pirate" is, and I hesitate to indicate that I might even care about your definitions of convenience. I think that a clear understanding of "unsolicited combat" should cover pirates and other killers alike, making the definition of pirate a non issue. I do not consider myself a pirate, and further more, the clause in question is not for my protection alone. I intend for the region to be hospitable to expatriates of lawful disposition. I am intentionally excluding pirates and killers, so that traders and travelers may honorably effect the defense of their persons and property under this agreement. Your inclination to refer to every expatriate as a pirate supports my position that lawfully minded expatriates deserve proper representation.
maq,
The nation war is not always a problem to Sedina. But sometimes it is. I have a specific goals for the region, and numbered among those goals are free access to Sedina Hold, and free passage of lawful expatriates. I would be very upset to simply give away one of my few and limited negotiating points, and gain nothing in return. I would be even more upset to agree to an event, that then becomes a problem for the region I am trying to protect. If you have not violated any of these terms, then consider these terms to be preemptive in nature. If I am going to allow your event, your event should make some allowance for myself and my compatriots.
My original demands where to allow expatriates to be represented independently of any superfaction in the nation war. As this demand appears to completely unreasonable to the parties responsible, I have presented this set of compromises.
The final analysis is this: You don't have to allow independent expatriates in your events, but expatriates don't have to allow for your events either. This compromise is designed to allow patriot events to be held in gray, even including the exclusion of expatriates, so long as expatriates do not suffer unwarranted inconvenience for an event they are not even allowed to participate in.
Are these demands so extraordinary that you would prefer my continued interference?

How about we just designate a few folks to sit it out and provide security against a-holes?
I'll volunteer... if I ever manage to be online at the proper time.

OK, should I decide who will get the position as a host with a forum poll?
It would look something like this, people would copy it and post it with the one who they want to vote for filled in with an x.
