That's nice to say. Any logic behind it, or a reason why? And don't say "It makes the Run fun". Pirates also make traders' lives "fun" by shooting them.

For the longest now, the Phoenix Alliance, along with "others", have thought that the Deneb Run is an exception to the rules, a chance to do as they see fit without repercussions. I'm here to say, like I told Roda last week, that the Run is no exception.

So, if any PA member fires upon any racer during an event, a 10 million credit bounty goes on the head of EACH PA member participating in the race for it's duration. Furthermore, no PA, you can't kill your own for the bounty.

This extends to any guild. Don't become pirates and then act above them later.

Wait, you mean [PA] comes to fire on racers when they are gathered in Odia M-14 before the race? That's completely unacceptable.

If they fire on racers during the run, well, that's kind of the point, eh? If they kill one of the racers, don't they get the pirate bonus?

Or, do you think that the [PA] guild kills off the competition so its racers can win? I'm not sure if that is against the rules. But it does seem to be against the spirit of the race, very definitely.

its funny when other people like daggoth korronoth have personally attacked us "just for fun" of the event (i forgive you daggoth i was just mad at you after miharu was clearly going to win and i had been attacked 2 times earlier). Honestly if your gonna call us out then call the rest of the people who participate in this kind of act but i still don't think its wrong.

We didn't invent this and we only started it after other guilds were already doing it therefore we adopted it. If a rule is created that everyone agrees to follow we will probably follow it but until then... stop whining. Go ahead and waste your money because frankly my dear i don't give a damn.

First and firemost, we (Mick + me) asked our PA guildmate to stop when we realized what he was doing on his own free will. Is not our habit to win DRs by guild-ganking the other racers. We both apologized to Blue Streak for the incident.

In the posts that present the Run, nobody has ever written anything about 10M bounties on the guildmates heads. Or there are hidden rules I'm not aware of, and that have never been published in the calls for racers?

When one of the guilds that organize the DR pulls the trick that was pulled in DR#82, I can't but believe that guild-ganking other racers not only is accepted, but actually ENCOURAGED by the very sponsors of the event!

The only case of DNF in my racing career ( http://www.vo-wiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=User:Syylk ) has been caused by Daggoth Korronoth (LT of SSC) killing me and Mick and firing on MiexonBionic ( http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/7/16050 ), handing out a fairly easy win to Miharu (CMDR of SSC), who was behind me at the time of the shooting down.

So, please, dismount your high horse. Either your "rules" are spelled out clearly in advance, and always enforced for everyone, or *ALL* the runners become fair game once they leave M14. As I personally think it should be.

As far as I can remember (I've been racing in these before BlueStreak knew how to pilot a bus) the racers have always been fair game for ANYONE to kill during the race.

I didn't personally like the "encouragement" of pirates with the rules instituted back in... oh whatever race that was, but meh.

OK then from [PA]'s side it looks like moldyman's just a sore loser. What's up wiht THAT, BlueStreak?

Katrina, I'm not in SSC. And honestly, I don't care what they do.

The only way anyone should feel threatened by this is if your guildmates "help" you by shooting other racers, "accidentally" or accidentally. If it's all fair, then me putting a bounty on pirates and their allies is good for the duration of the Run, eh?

Oh, and I did do a bounty for Sigma when one of their pilots couldn't keep their characters separate, took an RP vendetta to a pirate character. I'm pissed at all guilds who do this and I'm ashamed of the times when I started that I let and encouraged my guild to help me in this way. The bounty worked there so I will continue it as long as racers are shot at by friends in the same guild. I can do very little about true pirates out there shooting, but in this I can do something.

So take it as a friendly warning. They shoot, I pay others to shoot too.

PS - Leber, I lost because of a storm, not because of the PA firing at me. I'm pissed about the storm. But I don't exactly dance and wave when people shoot at me, even if they miss.

First off, I was out of line targeting PA only, or sounding as such. This goes beyond one guild and two racers.

So, let me calm down and restate:

A new bounty is up during racetimes. The two conditions are:

1) You are racing in the Run.
2) Your guild "helps" by firing on other racers.

If you meet those conditions, a bounty of ten million credits will be put up on your head. In addition, a group will be paid an extra ten million for the duration of the race to kill offenders in the racer's guild who fired into the Run.

This is meant/aimed at any guild. Please, we have enough pirates and wannabe pirates during the race, we don't need more.

EDIT: This is in no way shape or form an official rule of the Deneb Run. Just my response to "THat's just the way it is".

There usually aren't very many pirates during races...

Didn't we JUST have a thread about how the Run needs to stay simple? Trying to insert regulations about who can and can't shoot racers seems to go against that.

If you've got a problem with it why don't you just restart the corporate sector run and make your own rules to that instead of complaining about the deneb run?

Remember Deneb Run #12? When you sent Onina Tola and myself to secure first place for you? How I eliminated Dragon of Fire and Smarvin on your orders? You're hardly in the position to be placing bounties on PA, regardless of the actions of their members.

There's one of two ways you can see this, from what I can tell:

1) Either guild's attacking racers is fine and thus, by extension, this bounty becomes fine as well, since we're all following the rules.

2) Or my bounty is morally wrong, as I'm advocating killing racers for whatever the reason. But in that case, so is the action of killing racers by guilds.

We're all in the same boat now. Drive to win versus morals.

For the record, I have only one time (1) in my two years six months playing been inconvenienced while trading by a pirate. If you aren't a moron, pirates can't do ANYTHING to you, and anybody that is only doing a trade route that a pirate can kill them on is a narrow minded idiot.

Also, moldy, have you ever heard the story about the twenty two philosopher? One, an idealist, had his own method, his own thoughts. The other twenty one all disagreed, but for the lone philosopher, that didn't matter. He knew that he was right!

I once said that I couldn't fire on racers because of my standing non aggression pact with tgft. tgft responded by informing me that naps didn't cover deneb racers. since that time i have hunted racers at will. I pick on the racers that i think i will actually get a kill on, based on ship type and opportunity. In the race where I fired on you, you somehow managed to do a miracle dodge while in mid warp, from rails that surely had your name on them. I also did major damage to most every other racer, and even scored a kill or two. since the time tgft informed me that naps do not cover racers, i have never heard any complaint about who kills who in a race. until you.
The terms of our nap are what ever we agree that the terms are, and a nap may include terms for precedence over race rules. I think that it is really lame, but since your nap is worth more to me than hunting racers, i will allow you to dictate this term. since i can not hunt all racers, i will not hunt any racers at all.

ok this whole thread is stupid im just going to shoot at racers whenever i see them if im online during the race. put a bounty on my head please ill let some noob kill me just to cost you 10 mill
