I call forth to all traders and pirates to return to Grey.

Forget the past strife that has brought such great change and damage to our chaotic way of life.

Return to Grey under the blind eye or Corvus.

Let pirate popping trader and trader popping pirate be as it used to be.

Some wallets may have lightened a bit and some egos may have been hurt.

Yes, I know that trader spammed that pirate and that pirate spammed that trader, but it's in the past.

What do you say?

Normalcy in chaos?
or
Will you let bitter anger and enlarged egos get the best of you?

No waiting for the other to do it first.

Just do it.

Well, I'm happy enough to pvp with anyone , anywhere . If a lot of folk turn up and it turns into a war like furball , fair enough , I have been on both sides of that situation.

I have no objection to pirates attacking established traders within nation space; indeed it adds spice to the game in general. I have enough experience to know what is going on and to enjoy it without complaint.

My only concern is that repeatedly killing complete noobs who are trying to do the training missions may discourage some of them from completing the trial and becoming subscribers, and that is bad for VO as a whole.

I suppose it is.

Guess ya'll should have considered that before, huh?

And subscribers are `discouraged` because there`s no way to defend, and no way to fight.

OOC:

Pfft, newbie killing has been going on since the days when doing so was penalized; hell, even Jayce has done so! So let them go on, says I. If that makes them feel strong again and helps them believe they are really striking the Guilds that collectivelly kicked their asses, well, good for them. We'll simply go where they are, take potshots at them as they run like headless chickens from the SF, and get a few PKS off them and they some off us, the same as in Latos. No big deal.

An Invasion of Dau? Has it truely come to this?

Perhaps it has.

Long have we delayed action against those who would threaten our soveriegnty. Long have we found excuses to halt those who would defend our very borders.
Far too long, have we said we must 'know where the hornets nest' whilst every day they grow in strength.

Indeed, we have been complacent in our seats of power. Our procrastination shall be our downfall.

We have used water to discourage our foes, when fire is most appropriate. We have sought to swat down each insect from the skys one by one, even as they breed in ever increading numbers in thier nest.

Their territory begins to eclipse our own, even to infringe on our own. Every hour they grow bolder as their power waxes and our's wanes. We must begin reprisal before we are overrun.

No protection of rules for those who would break them. No standard of honor for the honorless. No quarter given to those who would not extend the same.

No more waiting for the next assault of their own design; We must take the conflict to them. From our border to thiers.

Action is called for, and proaction moreso. If we fear for those new to the universe, then we must seek to protect them ourselves. We must protect those endangered, for in time they may yet be our salvation.

We must make piracy unprofitable to the point of being untenable. They must be crushed as a stone is before an avalanche. They must relearn the meaning of fear.

Since the corperate wars, those systems have gone untended. Our own territory defiled by the lawless who make their resedence there. And we have done nothing.

After centuries of corrupted corperate intrests and endless budget cuts, Union Peace-Keeping has become a paper tiger; unable to react for the endless beauracracy that restrains it.

I issue a call to action to all those who would see a free galaxy. We must fight back. All those with the power and constitution to bear arms I ask to do so. I ask those who already fight to redouble your efforts. I ask those who cannot fight to support those who can. Divided we are weak, but as a Union we are strong.

We must march on grey.

So... to clairify:

We're heading to Dau and Arta C. to kill off anything that moves.

They're sending all "able" pilots away from those core systems.

Yeeeeaaah, Tumble, this weekend is gonna be amusing.

You question my judgment, doctor? You may be right or may be wrong, but I know for certain we can not simply wait. We cannot do nothing as the innevitable approaches. But there are things we can do.

A pre-offensive to occupy your myriad forces in grey and contain you there.

A a defensive strike to cut you off before you attain your goals.

And if the worst comes to pass, a counter-offensive to drive you back to your hidey-holes; where we can take the offensive to your home ground.

I'm not asking for action tomorrow, but today. We must organize now, and strike back before the pirates have their chance.

The Vipers were once able to handle these matters on their own, but once once the Black Lance disbanded they lost their motivation, their drive. And now they simply wait for piracy to come to them.

Indeed, we must not simply wait, nor abandon our duty once the immediate threat is extinguished. We must forge a campaign in ironclad to crush piracy in the whole of Union Territory, be it organized or otherwise.

We have swatted at the hornet's nest before, but now we must purge it with fire. Corvus must wear the yoke of judgment and be crushed under its weight.

And ultimately, greyspace must be reclaimed.
