Your thoughts on the new ship - Behemoth

Making the behom hard to kill does not encourage team work, it only makes the game more boring.

I'd rather have the ship be somewhat vulnerable, hence encouraging traders to have escorts. Now that would be encouraging teamwork.

The moth certainly does encourage teamwork. The moth is the reason behind the Black Lance communal bank where we can put money gained through group piracy.

Hmmm... That sounds very biased.

Considering being killed anxd losing more money because your ship cant fight and is killed easy is very biased. We should be able to defend ourselves from 1 ship not need 2 ships to fight 1 pirate.

I mean considering that most pirates fly a Rev C so we can't even hit them in such a slow ship and we will get picked off easier.

All I have to say is: Stop trying to bias the game for faster/mobile ships.

Constantly people complain when something takes time. If they nerf the Behemoth in any way it will become unusable since large ships are already at a disadvantage in this game. I dislike having the one thing that everyone uses it occurs way to often in games because of a lack of balance. So I say leave the Behemoth as it is. It is nice to be able to trade in Gray space w/o having to worry as much. Get a big ship and load up on firepower instead of flying in the Rev C and then you can take out a behemoth. It is most certainly not an unkillable ship and yes it does take a little effort.

Why not ask for insta-kill Behemoth weapon while you are at it.

Oh and my thoughts are the ship is great and very useful. I am hoping for more large ships in the future.

Ok, here's my take on the Behemoth. It's a slow ship, with great cargo hold and minimal weapons. The only problems I encountered with it were during docking. If you don't do it just right the damn think gets totally squirly and rotates much faster then it should for colliding with the docking port. I WISH it had a small port for mining but it IS a trade ship so I can live without that. Especially if they plan to introduce a mining beam with a scanner integrated. What I would like to see in it though is even more cargo capacity. Even though it's already doubled the next largest cargo hold of any ship it's just not enough in my opinion. If it's going to move as slow as it is then why not allow us to move more. The spin torque on it sucks but what did you expect, it's a masive ship. And while 180 max turbo is slow, I have heard of few behemoths being pirated, and I've tried myself, the armor makes up for the fact that it can't move too fast.

I'd still like to see a ship twice the size of the behemoth that is a real freighter ship, able to transport ships, weapons, possibly station components, as well as being able to equipe a large amount of mining gear, more then 2 large ports and 1 small. You really need to break your ship mold, all the ships have the same basic framework with a shell added to it, the rag is the only unique one and barely anyone flys it cause of its limitations.

I still find only having 2 Large ports is great. We'll learn that if you even have only one buddy, the Behemoth will be great as a group member. Besides, if you were a good miner, you'd know where the asteroids are. I do. But think, would you really take a large cargo ship to do prospecting? Prospecting is usually done without dragging around huge amounts of machinery to mine. Also, the lack of a small port makes it fun.

Docking the B-Moth is not at all that hard, I rotate it on it's side and it slides right in without scraching the paint.

Syberfly out.

I don't think that the 'Moth is going to make all the other trading orientated ships obsolete, once you've leveled to the point where you can pick up the 'Moth.

The 'Moth is great for bulk trading, but like it's been said above, it's relatively slow (top speed 190 m/s), unmaneuverable, and able to be taken down by a group of pirates. And they have been grouping... at least, they were last night.

I'll keep my trusty TPG Atlas X around... it's fast with top speed of 220 m/s, and a turbo drain of 50, so it can keep that speed up. I see it more of a blockade runner now... so if I think it's likely that I'm gonna run into a group of pirates, I'm gonna take my Atlas.
