gmail invites. *shudder*

I have a g-mail account, but all I do with it is to leave drafts of files I want to transport from computer to computer. The maximum size is 20MB for a gmail, I think.

huh? max size for Gmail is a gig no? or are you talkin about a single mail?
Well, hotmail I dont really use, I have yodaofborg@ (aol, hotmail, msn, yahoo, ect) but use none, I posted the hotmail addy just incase anyone wanted to be funny (you do get em, every where you go) and actualy own my own domain/webspace, so if you have any trouble mailing them to me at hotmail, I will reply, with a *real* email address that has *no* limitations.
Haha, me too, i have 50 invites. But thats for the off topic boards. Yoda, i'll just try e-mailing you the smaller one.
Moofed gave me a place to put them. The first on is here

The background music is amor by rammstein, after the first clip there is a big space of nothing but music, that's cause i couldnt find filler, then there is a clip, then another clip, and then that's it. This was the first one I did, so it isn't that great. If you watch the swarm volloys in the second clip(the first one with action) they hit to the drums kinda sorta. The next one will be up in a little. Tell me what you think.

Ok, this one is somewhat better, not much blankspace, but there is a spelling error. I didn't go and fix it cause then I'd have to recompress the file. The little starwars looking text isn't necessarlly true, it's mostly filler. This movie is more based on timing of the shots and the music. Please keep in mind i'm new to this, so don't flame me. :)

Thats a good start for making videos, macguy. I know these are in-progress, but some suggestions:
- Fade out music instead of leaving half the movie with music but no visual.
- Put some actual ingame video into every movie. The 'dramatic vendetta' movie was all scaling stills except for the SW text, and then blank screen with music.
- For the queen segment, editing out the target selection screens will make for a cleaner presentation.

Ya, i'll use F4 to fight with none of that crap in the way. It's pretty much just an example of how i can do timing and stuff. I think the best part of the dramatic one is when the vendetta title image comes up with the music and zooms out. I'm also only using imovie and this isnt my full time thing. I've got school and stuff, but on breaks i'll try to work on stuff like this and over the summer.
-Good effort.... everything Moofed said, and also... O fortuna from the Carmina Burana?? That's a piece of music that's become a little cliche... might wanna reconsider the soundtrack.
I didn't like my video too much, so I didn't want to bother putting in music. If anyone wants to host and see me get used to flying with no HUD in external, I'll send to you. Overall, it's a general overview of different types of ships and weapons. There's some parts that could have been REALLY great, so, comment on whatever you like to see, and maybe all us movie producers can make more of what people want to see.
If there's anyone who feels pretty good about filming a duel, I'm sure there are several ones that would be interesting to watch.
Also, if you use the Zoom, it will have a very Battlestar Galactica feel to it, might be nice.

yoda, you get my email? Been trying to log in to the ftp, but it says that I only have read-only permission. Email me your reply :)
Shape, i'd gladly film some duels. Just tell me where and when.
Something else that's also fun to shoot:
Get as many people in one sector as possible (9-10 work best), form up, everyone pick a sector to jump to, then on the count everyone jumps together.
Straight out of "Return of the Jedi" ;)

I have one of those...
Hey Macguy: I enjoyed your efforts! In the second video you did a good job
syncronizing the video with the music. As I know from experience, its not as
easy as it looks. In addition to the spelling, watch out for redundency. Example:
"...they became self sufficient without the need for each other." As for the choice
of music: I understand what Phaserlight is saying about the excerpt from Carl
Orff's "Carmina Burana" but do not agree that it is a "cliche." Yes, it has been
used frequently, but it is a great piece of music with wide appeal. "Carmina Burana"
remains a favourite of mine even though I was first exposed to it almost 40 years ago...

If it needs distributing, put up a torrent and I'll seed it on our 100Mbit uni network :)
Ohhh thanks thats cool Noid. But i've got hosting with moofed, but as the files get larger, i'll consider that thanks. For now I'll just be trying to get video clips for the video.
Ok, I need fighting pilots to film. Just respond telling me if you'd like to star as a fighter in some clips I need to take for a movie. I know many of you are damn good fighters, so reply away.
I would love to help out in any way I can, macguy, especially if it means staging a dogfight ;). I'm normally online wednesdays and fridays but let me know when you're planning to do the shooting and I'll try to make it then.
