I'd have to say the only online game that i really got actively involved with was Quake3: arena. I was pretty well known in part of that community as one of the few that could pull a 60FPM (Frags per minute) kill rate.
I got into VO because I was HUGE fan of the whole Escape Velocity series and InsideMacGames basically implied that VO is the "online EV" we've all been waiting for. VO definitely hits the spot. It's gotta be the hardest First Person Shooter I've ever played because of how detailed the physics models are (compared to other FPS games). I've been playing VO for almost a month now and I still find myself at only a 'mediocre' skill level. not a very common thing for me and FPS games.

I've been playing mmogs for quite some time. My first big mmog was Jumpgate(was a Beta tester on that one and played for around 1.5 Years into retail on the EU Server). After that there have been many point&click mmogs that I tried (Horizons, SWG, AC2, Eve-online, only to name a few) but I didn't really stick for long with any of them, the exeption beeing Eve wich I played for around 7 month in total. I always felt like those games are lacking something in beeing point and click. So after looking around a bit I found out about VO, and it seems I found me a new MMog where I will stick around for a while.
...Used to play Runescape, I'm sure some of you have heard of it
